So basically Fallout In SPAAAAACE, right down to having skills affect speech options and yes, that’s the same style of talk menu that was in Fallout 3 and onwards. Frankly, it looks fucking amazing, and since it’s using the Unreal Engine, it should be less buggy and run well on even lower end systems.
So screwing the budget to get this (assuming it’ll be out end of 2019) and it’s also a good motivator to get newer 2nd hand PC parts so I can play it eventually, if not on the launch day. Assuming a) I can keep to teh budget and b) nothing else expensive breaks. But the plans to fix my old bike so I can give to my neighbour’s oldest sprog might be disrupted severely. I’ll still get it done, it just wont be likely ready before xmas like planned.
Now that’s a game to be excited about I have faith Obsidian won’t disappoint. Thank you, The Mess, for making me aware of this game. Hell, might be looking forward more to this than Elder Scrolls 6.
Edit… OH WOW. just watched the launch trailer…and that is just amazing, love everything about it, the music, the speach/humour, the visuals…and it’s from the team that made New Vegas. That’s bought, I don’t care how much, somewhere I’m finding the cash for this. :D:D:D
Thank you very much The_Mess for posting this, that’s wicked.
Edit…
Have to disagree here, this is pure Fallout and watching the trailer over and over again, I need this game and that’s GOTY for 2019 already sorted.
Creator of fallout 1-2-3 new vegas … it’s inspired by borderlands 2
Its good to see we’re finally getting an actual fallout game again. Even though it doesn’t have a nuclear fallout. This game will still be more fallout then fallout 3-4-76 are.
I realise this is probably considered blasphemy by some, but I’m actually really looking forward to playing “proper Fallout” (conversation choices) without everything in sight being blown to shite
Okay, okay, listen up, guys.
I am talking about visual design and art direction. Look at 0:34 and this.
You see use of vibrant colors and lightning (godrays) simmilar to BL2, that creates particular mood (1:10, 1:31, 1:52). Look at three shots at 1:48, it looks like they were taken straight from new BL3 trailer.
Other people also getting Borderlands vibes from the trailer. See this reddit thread https://www.reddit.com/r/Games/comments/a3vn6m/tga_2018_the_outer_worlds/
Thinking that game developers and, especially, artists don’t inspired by each other’s work would be naive. Gearbox themselfs, probably, were inspired by Fallouts, too.
