Cows hang in the barn, do not move, do not give milk, do not reproduce, they are taken to slaughter only after a few years.
Welcome to the forum.
If you’ve fenced them in then make a gap in the fencing. For some reason fencing is causing them to get stuck atm. A gate won’t work, it needs to be an actual gap.
Thanks it worked!!!
Yep, had the same problem
Ok, and now it’s not fencing trouble. They just stop work after last update.
You can’t slaughter cows, can’t milking. If you enable milking, they just sit in the barn forever. But produced no milk. If dissable milking - they go to pasture. I think it’s new bug. Try to test it on another map. I watch for the barn for 5 years - nothing changes.
Test it on another map. Cow slaughter works, but milking not.

Cows cannot move through gates at fences.
Of cource you can leave a gap, but if you split your cows, they will move along the roads and get stuck at every gate in their way …
Tested it one more time on completely new map. And it work. Maybe my save files are broken?(
Ive got the same issue. 2 barns next to eachother, some fencing but a gap in it. Two pastures next to eachother. One flock of cows is moving out, the other isn’t and it used to work a season ago. Flipping the milk button a couple of times didn’t work, making a gap in the fence (although the other flock did go through the gate), moving the barn, nothing works.Maybe it’s the drunk farmer causing it
