So I, like many of you, have had the fortune to stumble upon a terrific item known as the soiled trousers. This marvelous pair of potently pungent pants grant some admissible stats and a wide smirk. They provide the wearer with a skill called “throw feces” which is essentially a brown version of poison bomb. I feel that this skill and these pants would make a solid foundation for hours of immature entertainment.
I have decided to do a playthrough using these pants the entire way. I will stream this challenge on my twitch channel (can’t link it, but it is polarbearking10.) I will probably air it on Friday mornings/afternoons and upload it to youtube if you are interested in watching.
What I need are some ideas as to what the challenge should entail? I was thinking that throw feces should be the only activate skill I use for the playthough. What other rules would make this challenge difficult? What else would make it fun?
Finally, it would be cool if you gave me some build/gear advice based on the rules you suggest. I don’t know this game extremely well and I’m sure that you guys could make nearly any build viable. Thanks for your help and time.
I used them for a while on my poison Witch Hunter. It was just additional damage for enemies who could close the gap quickly.
With that being said, I highly doubt you’re going to be able to do an entire run with just that skill unless you have insane amounts of patients and even more +Poison damage gear. The skill takes a few seconds to activate so 96% of your entire combat time will be spent running in circles. That’s neither fun, nor entertaining.
Fair criticism and thanks for your input. I was thinking about making more of a tank build though so that kiting wouldn’t be as prevalent. Also, standing still would maximize the damage of the poop’s scent by forcing melee enemies to stand in its flatulent glory. Also, the pants themselves have poison retaliation so it kind of leans toward that sort of build anyway.
That being said, if this is as simple as making a retaliation tank that occasionally throws poop, that isn’t that interesting either. I feel like this is a good idea, it just needs to be set up properly to be both difficult and enjoyable.
Dude if anyone wants to make a soiled trouser challenge into a fundraiser go for gold. You would need a brave streamer and a good camera for ultimate viewer satisfaction.
I think you would have to be able to equip at least other armor slots, because otherwise you would get one-shot by everything. Maybe no weapons though…? It would be tough to tank with no shield, but also it could be boring without at least default weapon attacks.
The only time I ever equipped the brown stained pantaloons was indeed for a retaliation warder build, and you’re right that it was far from an exciting experience.
I have a poison damage and poison retaliation toon used Empowered Soiled Trousers because of the pretty good amount of poison retaliation and having one more DoT source never hurts.
But the throw feces skill is really shitty (no puns intended), on top of taking ~2 seconds to activate, the range was just too small to be useful. So after I got Nidalla’s Legwraps I never wear Empowered Soiled Trousers again.
I know the item is meant for (toilet) humor, but does the skill need to be crappy (no puns intended) as well?
