I’m not sure if there are other affixes with similarly low spawn rates, but if there are, could the odds at least be increased slightly when a specific stat is selected at the Altar? I tried for both Cold and Bleed damage but couldn’t get them to drop at all; I even performed 300 rerolls without success.
Well, the devs have said that the altar doesn’t affect rerolls. Have you also been farming for the affix in the world?
In short, what I’m saying is that if there are certain Affixes or Suffixes that remain difficult to obtain even when using the Altar or Reroll, I would like them to be made a bit easier to get.
Of course, I have hardly experimented with using the Altar and Reroll in combination.
AFAIK rerolling removes any bias from the item. If I get that correct it means that all the rare affixes should have the same weight (but maybe there are “tiers” of affixes within the rarity, who knows).
One sanity check I would do is making sure that you’re rolling on a correct item base:
If you’re rolling on a pistol or mace this will never show up.

Of course I’m rerolling a dagger—specifically, an LFb. But strangely enough, ever since I decided I wanted to get the “Spiritualist’s” affix on it, I’ve only seen that affix appear once. And that was on a chestplate.
I can’t say for sure since I’ve only tried rerolling about 300 times, but I’m convinced there are definitely affixes that roll more frequently on LFbs. Specifically, things like “Frostborn,” “Glacial,” “Incanter’s,” “Runecarved,” “Rimefrost,” and “Stormcharged.”
Daggers have 85 possible prefixes, but only 34 sufixes.
So yeah, you have about 1.2% chance of rolling the one you want. Pretty low. If you rerolled 300 times then you just had bad luck.
I’m having the same problem rerolling a prefix for a medal BTW. I’ve gotten the sufix quite easily, but the prefix just won’t roll.
In these cases, it is preferable drop out in the world the item with the prefix you want, because you can use a good Altar bias to your advantage, and only after that try to reroll the suffix at the Inventor.

I have been trying to get this on my scepter. I gave up around the 100 mark and then out of curiosity started cheating for the mats to test if it was actually possible. I have 500 rerolls on one scepter and 400 on another and still not a single spiritualist prefix.
edit: 5 more rerolls after posting this and I actually got it. Funny how that always works.
How 50% chance to appears or not is considered as “low”?
