I wonder if that was intentional or just a bit of a default Unity-type thing and they just went with it. Tho it’s worth noting that Crate knows well enough (or definitely should) that OneDrive’s propensity to needlessly fuck shit up caused plenty of headaches for Grim Dawn players for numerous years now.
If I was a game dev I know I’d go out of my way to keep player’s saves well away from its meddling.
You can check on SteamDB. If the playtest branch is recently updated, that would indicate that it was pushed (but it would likely also be posted here).
It’s not up yet, but possibly Soon™.
Hmmm. Do i want a half baked game or a full baked game? Full baked as i know even with 1.0 you will continue to move the game forward as you have done for Grim Dawn.
Keep up the good work. Happy Xmas and New Year to you all.
I absolutely LOVE, love, love! the changes that came with 9.6, as it gives several different ways to modify the game play, not to mention the pure joy of just creating that ideal setting in terms of free-form building. THANK YOU!
Confession…I’m a worlds builder for a different studio, working primarily with the medieval period…and what’s sick (Dev people, you know what I’m talkin about) is that when I’m not working, I play around with FF. The art creates a really great atmosphere for the period that I favor and is purely relaxing in its execution. I grab the headphones, set a mix of background sounds from various ambient/mixers on the web, and it gives me more ideas for different types of things/workings/people/settlements, etc of the era.
Ironically, when I was in grade school and taking history, all I could think was, “Who da fk is EVER gonna need to know this crap?!”…heh…well, that came full circle and bit me, for sure. Needless to say, I’ve done as much research as I have doing the actual creating, because I tend to be a stickler for details.
Mad props to your Team for creating a truly beautiful piece of work. As others have mentioned, it’s pretty blatent how much you all care about releasing quality work. Having a pretty solid rig, I don’t experience some of the issues others experience at the higher population levels, but I appreciate seeing those clear differences when you’ve worked to make things more efficient, not to mention the endless ‘moar’ that just adds to the game experience overall. THIS is what EA should look like for every game.
It’s been a great ride watching how things have developed since I jumped on board in Sept of 22. All the best to the Team and your efforts for the coming new year.
