The 'Who's Promoting the Kickstarter?' Thread

Thanks for the clarification, Father Squid. Hopefully some of the recipients haven’t heard about Grim Dawn and the backer numbers will see a decent boost.

When is the next edition?

Thanks for the update, it makes sense it was already completed.

Any success contacting Felicia yet? One well timed tweet by her could well result in a huge influx of support.

I’ve said this before but as far as I’m concerned Arthur Bruno should be as well known and respected as Tim Schafer, Max Schaefer or any of the other big names in gaming one could name…Titan Quest was popular despite the publishers and should have made him famous were it not for the publishers lack of interest in TQ.

The names Arthur Bruno and Titan Quset should have been enough to turn the gaming world into a frenzy! :frowning:

I’m hoping Grim Dawn makes up for it in a big way.

There is no fixed date that I know of… roughly every couple of weeks seems to be the norm… If I can get a set date I’ll let people know.

Can’t a “special edition” be sent out during the interim to get word out there about the kickstarter campaign before its too late? It seems plausible to me.

Nope :frowning: unfortunately not. It very well could just be the fact it’s a book site ahha, or maybe its run and monitored by one of her goons.

Double post inc.
Here’s a link for redit that links to the kickstarter about the new update (#7) If you guys could upvote it hopefully it will stay alive for a little, also I get free karma

edit only 12 votes, pulled in 4 people keep it coming!

Sorry for answering so late, Yerkyerk. The thread “Soutien et pré-commande” >>> here in GD’s section of TQ-fr forums <<< means “Support and preorder”. That is the place where all the Kickstarter’s news and discussion for Grim Dawn are situated and daily updated. The last six pages (4 to 9, to be continued !) of the thread are about Kickstarter. The 3 previous ones are about preorders.

The Grim Dawn’s section of our forum reaches a total of 43 threads and 1205 posts today.

I add a thread in >>> jeuxvideo.com <<< forums (the french greatest video games site) and another little one in >>> wiwiland <<< forums (french Elder’s Scrolls community and modding forums)

I imagine Gamespot is a fairly popular site, but I’ve not seen any mention of Grim Dawn there? I’m not sure how to contact their editors? If we could get them to run an article and maybe host the Occultist video, it could bring in some more support for the Kickstarter.

Yeah :frowning: I dont know either. I tried asking Giantbomb who just got “picked up” by gamespot. The first time they said they will look into it and are not sure if kickstarter projects are something they want to cover a lot of. I remailed again this time with more info and persuasion so im hoping to hear back.

Well that’s good. I still think if we got some publicity via youtubers like TB, Yogscast etc we could see a surge in pledges. So far zero comments back, i’m hoping that after yogscast finishes their project soon ours will pick up.

it doesn’t seem like anyone really cares about the game except gamestop. Which its a start but more is needed. I thought diablo.inc would be into it but still nothing. Sure is hard to promote a game on deaf ears :frowning:

I left a post on the forum for my gaming community, it’s not huge, but they’re pretty devoted and may help spread the word if they like what they see.

Every post counts. I left a thread on Taleworlds site they made Mount and blade expecting zero views. Moral of the story was able to pull a couple people in and thats what matters.

Also to everyone make sure you post the new updates in your forum threads. It gives it a valid reason to “bump” and get news out!

Very true. Personally, I await until the goal is reached before an update. Than one final update to draw in people who are on the edge.

I was considering that. However some of the forums I posted in giantbomb/skyrim etc seem to move pretty quick and its on the 3rd page after the day or next day. So what I’ve been doing is just posting the update some times it gets noticed. Also some of the forums allow me to delete my previous post so I wont get yelled at for spamming :).

Yes, heh, we should be careful not to annoy others, which is why I only make a few posts per board.

Anybody got an idea on Diablofans.com? It seems like they might be interested in Grim Dawn, which seems a closer spiritual successor to D2 than D3 currently is.

http://www.diablofans.com/topic/39173-arpg-buffs-listen-here-kickstarter-grim-dawn/

posted that a while ago. Seems like most of them where already interested. Scroll down one girl says “Arthur is cute” ahahah I laughed at that.

And yeah I try my best to not annoy anyone mostly I reply after someone else replys. Try my best not to spam it up.

Posted now
