I do a lot of theorycrafting, but I’ve never had a theorycraft just come together so perfectly imo. Purifier I always saw as squishy but by doing a sort of health dump in the augments by covering resists I end up with 18k hp in grim tools. And almost everything else is nearly best in slot imo, maybe not the chaos fire ring, but if that ring also had 12% health on it I think it would be lol.
It’s a lot of greens but I think all the affixes except for pants and amulet which are just rng should be favored.
I just wanted to share because I really went for just value just everywhere and imo all the stats like OA DA skill points health & resists really just piece together perfectly, obviously rng in rolls might have a factor in game where you can squeeze something else in if you high roll somewhere.
Btw I think this warmaul might be stronger than it initially looks, it’s got total damage modified on it and so does the 2h line of firestrike, which hopefully makes up for the lack of wps.
Time to level up a purifier to test it! And I appreciate any tips or feedback!
Btw I didn’t mention it in the post but I think of the eagle is just the best magic affix if you can fit it on pants or chest where it rolls the highest, OA, DA, Health, & damage all in moderate amounts, i think it’s doing a lot of lifting here lol.
I am no to judge your build here cuz I can’t build around that weapon myself yet, but some remarks I can try to give:
low pierce/bleed resist - fabius will eat you
only 4$ physical resist, will be lot of trouble but I know it’s extremely hard to come-by…
Imo purifer is a very odd class, it was one of the first I ever tried to built back in 2017 and kinda succeeded and failed (with dagallon instead). And the seal, the seal is travesty - it’s good but costs so many points and is pain to use so I understandwhy u might have skipped it.
The other barthollems gun might be even better by boosting oathkeepers guardian count I think cuz they, afterall, are immortal and you just run around in circles till they clear your path.
I read somewhere that bleed and pierce overcaps are unnecessary, though that person didn’t give an explanation why. I believe it was a post from crabturtle on reddit explaining resist reduction changes with the sunder mechanic.
I might have taken it too literally though lol.
Also low phys res is why I tried to go more for armor, hyrian/turtle & 2x of the little health & armor boost components (edit enchanted earth). Boots armor is still a bit sad though.
Imo the best place to fix pierce/bleed resist if necessary & get some more armor would probably be a gloves swap, as those only give chaos res which is supercapped. (~Sad wind devil noises~)
I’ve got a stonehide of alacrity plagueguard grips sitting in storage. You lose the damage on the gloves but gain about 8% more attack speed so dps wise it’s probably about the same.
I am sure he does, well at least in Shattered Realm. His shadow strike is very deadly but if he uses the same veil of shadow as we can use from nightblade, I am sure he can too.
Sunder enchances impact damage in whole all factors from any kind of damage, like a big bloab of nerf, so you should or need to avoid it when possible and armor rating is not that important to me but the physical resist is, I like to keep that minimum on all my builds above or exactly 13%.
Sometimes, even when everything looks good on sheet or paper, builds fail to work as envisioned, but perhaps you are cooking something good here, altho I suggest you wholehardetly to ramp the physica resist number. :v
high dmg?
uses actual weapons
check his sheet stats, he has sky high spirit/cunning, crit bonus, while shredding tons of DA, and he dual wields weapons to get 2x potential bonus stats to add to his sheet
our dmg output is “0” because relative to enemy HP it’s small
we don’t have 8million hp right?, so a mere 8k attack hurts us a lot more than it does them, because it’s relative to our total threshold
he used to have 40 RR on his wps, but, since we basically overcapped by 40 anyway, we never felt it right? so RR getting removed has no change in the attack you felt before/now
you need 25 bleed overcap for ravager, that’s it
but my understanding is that bleed/pierce is something we should technically be able to skimp on “generally”, as there is nothing that directly bleed shreds us while doing bleed dmg or pierce shreds us while doing pierce dmg, - i have seen a few objections to this, but no fight examples used (besides ravager), ex Calla doesn’t pierce shred anymore either,
(but a lot of builds still have some slight overcap on bleed/pierce, unsure if accidental or deliberate despite supposed less direct need)
*i can’t say for Crucible tho, since potential debuff overlaps would be easier there
You can actually split the difference in damage lost with the gloves with mark of illusions of all things lol. You get so much bleed overcap from stonehide & end up with more armor than before even with the ring components swapped.
Little swap from spirit to physique to make up the lost DA & the damage lost is not much, while you gain quite a bit of attack speed. Just depends on how much you value the armor with only 4% phys res.
Edit: its less armor im dumb lol definitely not worth and the dps from mark of illusions after swapping to physique is miniscule
since 1.2 and newer high defence meta even on SC builds i’ve noticed several builds that didn’t even cover the common overcaps to full amount on regular res like ex Aether.
Unsure if increased tankiness, da and hp pool has meant we don’t even need to worry about getting 25-30-35 aether/poison/chaos res always now or RR sources are just that fewer between @mad_lee might know exactly what resist overcap values are significant on X like bleed/pierce, (or aether poison ), outside Ravager,
From the top of my head Vitality 40 but even 50 has merit, Chaos and Acid 30, Elemental 30 but 40-50 also has merit, every other overcap is less important and should be treated as a bonus not something you should chase sacrificing other stuff. For Ravager of Flesh overcap Bleed res by 30% with augments, for Calla overcap Pierce.
