There should be a quest for using the set transmuting feature, both of them

I know it seems coddling but an astonishing amount of FG players I meet still don’t realize the feature exists. Adding a quest that enforce that they try the feature out would be very healthy for the game.

It’s a good idea until you consider that they’d first need a set item and a Celestial Lotus AND be willing to lose that set item for one that may be worse.

Maybe they can get a free dummy set epic item to use for it and the use with the quest being free. Or low level epic set items. I dunno. Obviously this would take some programming but again, a startling amount of players don’t realize this feature was added based on my interactions online.

Given how useful the feature is I think there’s some importance here. And note that for epics it only costs an eldritch essence. You could make the quest reward grant an eldritch essence too thus refunding the cost @Ceno

Isn’t there already a quest when that dude asks you (guy, who single-handedly stopped Chtonian Blood God ressurection and also pushed back Aetherial invasion) to bring him his book or something? And then you get an option to dismantle with him and there is a feature “Transmute” in his window immediately? And he also tells you he can transmute?

Do you want to spoon feed that to the player, really?

Indeed, this…don’t see the need to add another layer to that.

Sometimes reading quest lines really makes your game more healthy :wink:20190827023632_1

A large chunk of players skim quest text. It’d just be a way of ensuring they use the feature. But so be it.

While the quest text is there, it is rather vague on exactly what you can do with transmutation. So, wouldn’t mind something in that direction for newer players if possible. +1 to the suggestion.

Thank you. I mean, Zantai, you’ve arguably added some other features to the game settings that may see less utility than what I’m suggesting here.

I could collect data on how many rando’s who play through FG don’t realize they have that feature vs. those that do if you like.
