Thermite Mines cast directly on Callagadra usually don't work

  • After a long break I wanted to get in the groove and started practicing vs Calla

  • Had Elemental Storm on Mines and wondered why I cannot see purple whirlpool so I started adjusting graphical settings because all these sandstorms and tornadoes do obscure stuff somewhat

  • Turned out it’s again the mines placement and range issue

At the beginning I show Meteor bound to Mines so it’s clear nothing is procced. Character has nearly 4k OA. Immortal due to cheat code.

It’s not even a problem with callagadra specifically, but with mines in general, or, rather, this summon template. It acts a bit weird if summon burst is greater than 1, spawning pets around the target instead of under. I don’t know if it’s determined by target’s hitbox or something else, but chthonian bugs in AoM have similar problem. It’s especially obnoxious on melee chars because they usually don’t have the luxury of casting mines on “free space”.

On unrelated note, I tried working around it by changing mines to Skill_AttackProjectileSpawnPet template with fragments, but it comes with its own problems - can’t change number of spawns per cast (spawn burst from normal modifier does nothing and projectile modifier adds fragments unrelated to main skill), and fx swap (i.e. pet replacement) just doesn’t work at all. Can we get some love for this template too, at least for fx swap part?
