I have been playing Grim Dawn basically since its inception

and ONLY TODAY! - did I find this hidden area as I hastily backtracked from a mob of undead.

Warning - Spoilers below

The hidden area in is Old Arkovia before you enter the Undercity at the far south in a stone arena.

There is a chest in there and you can even see Minova in the Broken Hills before you even get to him.

In the above shot I did backtrack to get the snapshot for the post, but he did have the normal yellow quest exclamation mark on his head the first time I entered this hidden area before entering Broken Hills via the Undercity exit.

Just goes to show that once you think you know everything about an area or aspect of the game, something will always pop up and prove you wrong!.

Yes, there are guides, maps, builds and character modifiers out there that will expose and open up every aspect of the game in an instant if you want to. I have no issues if you want to play the game that way. Grim Dawn is your game and you can opt to use whatever tools to achieve what gameplay style you are looking for.

It is just that using all those tools and resource hacks to me loses a lot of the flavour of self found achievements and gratification of the game.

The above hidden area was a real “Oh Wow Factor” - never seen that one before after all those years of play.

I have played game for years and I also know every secret. But I didn’t know about this one. :smile: Yeah, you always think that you have all the information and then you understand about new one!

nice find. But since you didn’t visit it on that char: You do know that there is a small hidden path as well, due south of the entrance to the hive at twin falls?

I love that hidden area there next to the Rockford, etc tombstones.
I feel like I’ve found so many new hidden areas post-FG (in base/AOM areas of the map that is) that I began to question if they even existed beforehand or if added later. But maybe because I was in the mindset of finding fresh hidden areas in FG map, that I was less on auto-pilot through base/AOM and therefore leading me to be more exploratory.
Found 2 additional hidden spots in East Marsh / Craig’s Crags, Darkvale Gate, even one near the entrance to heading down to Commander Lucius.

just to clarify, minova is a ghost woman. also, she’s one of the few npcs who can grant you extra stats bonus (perhaps she is the wife of a powerful arkovian oligarch?).

Lol - Always thought Minova was a guy. Hard to tell with that spooky look and clothing.

No, I don’t know about that hidden path.
I hardly ever go left and around at Twin Falls and usually head down center and right.
