Thoughts on bullrush?

Is it worth getting on a ranged, DW physical-cadence build?

Not in my opinion at least

Falcon swoop, then?

CD seems long though.

Nope for ranged. In my opinion, at least.

It benefits Trauma builds, I always take it with my Octavius build, because you can bind it on Blitz and just SMASH the packs of mobs. That 75% chance on attack, in reality, procs all the time.

For ranged, there are way more useful constellations, since, I think, you need at least take both Oleron and Soldier, while also having defence in consideration.

Can’t comment on DW physical, though, since I play pure pierce DW Cadence, the gear allows it.

Care to critique my build?

I have 2 spare devotion points. Not to sure where to dump em to.

Thoughts on bullrush?

Awkward. For starters Bull is a strange mono-damage constellation, moreover it’s a DoT, moreover it’s IT of all things. I am not too tempted to get it just for the proc. As for the proc it ain’t bad on paper, but on practice the ideal conditions for it is a spammable LMB skill that attacks fast and has AOE (to make most use of 0.5 sec cooldown), which pretty much leaves 1H non-transmuted bladearc as a pontential skill.

CD doesn’t matter that much. E.g. bullrush has 0.5 sec cooldown and 25% proc chance, means you need to attack a single target as often as once in 0.125 seconds for the cooldown bottleneck to kick in. Ofcourse you can workaround by using it on AOE skill, but you say Cadence. Cadence only has AOE on 3rd attack, so you still need to have a 0.5/3 = 0.166 seconds attack speed for the cooldown bottleneck to kick in. On a side note, quickest pistols with %attack speed capped at 200% only hits as often as once in 0.3 seconds.

Once again, going above 3600-3800 OA won’t bring you much. You also neglected some various important resists, mainly stun resist and physical resist.
Your WPS is lacking even for Cadence build. I would invest more into Bursting Round and others, it really helps, especially with conversion from Bladetwister.

As for devotions… go with a mix of Pierce\Physical. Seems like all over the place in your build.

I really found out that it performs great on Blitz. Hitting an entire pack then applying the proc on the rest with 75% chance to happen? Hell yes. I consider BA too slow for this skill, I use it as a nuker on IT Tacticians.
Blitz’ cooldown is pretty humble and you can still rotate between many other things like Doomforce, Oleron’s Strike, BA and FW. Seriously, that 75% chance proc is very reliable.

It was really awesome when damaging auras like Whirling Blades were bugged.
But not anymore.
With such low CD, Bull’s Rush favours fast-hitting skills (main attack), but on other hand, for physical build you’ll want to bind Assassin’s Mark to main attack anyway… So, potential is wasted.

Yes, it’s probably worth it on IT builds since you’d want all the flat IT procs you could grab, and Bull Rush is an easy one. Unless it ends up in the way of getting something more sweet - that’s how I ended up ditching Falcon Swoop on my dw ranged tactician at least.

Then again, I don’t really fancy DoT damage builds, and among all the DoT builds I consider IT to have the most boring skillset, so for me Bull constellation just doesn’t exist since the introduction of Stag.

Thanks for all the input/critique guys!

Lovin’ the learnin’

Bull is more than just Bull Rush for Trauma builds. The constellation also has sweet % duration and also a bit of flat Trauma to boot.

Even if you don’t plan on taking Bull Rush (for reasons), that % duration is the 2nd node in so is easy to snag.

I don’t know anyone who wouldn’t take Bull on Trauma builds. Boar is shit, Anvil is shit. Bull is literally the ONLY good minor Trauma devotion available.

Like seriously, there is no reason not to take it. Especially for IT builds.
