The problem I am having is getting a vault built to hold gold so I can collect money. I cant get to tier 3 because I need gold. The Only thing that got me to tier 3 was not building a school or doctor and waiting to get enough gold to upgrade but by that time the people abandon there homes and it destroys my town. any tips on how to get their faster?
The vault is not necessary to get gold. Markets collect the taxes from your housing and to help with that things like a school (no cost) and a healer (20 a month) help with the desirability factor to get those houses up to the next tier. Upgraded markets also add desirability as will gardens and other decorations in your town.

It says i have 0 gold but beside it it says 0(220) what’s the 220 mean. Then I get a warning saying no place to store gold. What is the 220 in 0(220)? The number does go up and down as well.
That’s your income from taxes and expenditure each month. Hover over it and it’ll show you a breakdown.

then why does my gold stay 0 if my income is 220 and at the end of each month they say you need somewhere to store gold. I never actually get the 220.
It’s just a suggestion the game makes to have a vault. And you could be balancing out with your income and expenditure. There does seem to be a bit of a bug with gold and the trading post atm too so that might be affecting it.
Also check whether your markets are collecting taxes. If not then reload the game, that should fix it.

Your gold is usually stored in the regular Store House. If that is full, you don’t have space to hold your gold anymore. Build another regular Store House to have enough space for your Gold Ingots if you can’t build a Vault yet.
If you shift all your gold to the Trading Post the number in the top right corner will say “0” (because all is in the Trading Post). But then you can’t pay soldiers or upkeep anymore. The gold is only available for trading in that case.
If by any chance in that time you regular storage runs full you can’t shift the Gold back to the Storage anymore.
