Do we really need Kory the keeper and Lancel the knight. Is it not better just to add all loyalist packs bought, auto to the Illusionist NPC?

There is because both of them also give a cosmetic pet as part of the Loyalist Packs. Plus items only get added to the Illusionist when you pick them up including Loyalist Pack items.
