Tips to kill Gravathul?

Maybe I am all the wrong builds for killing this Nemesis, but so far I just run the other way. Can´t face tank, can´t kite, I get one shot out of the blue or charged, which also kills me. Watching what animations the huy shows?
"Oh look, he —dead. Lmao. Especially when I only encounter this guy on maps that are dark as fuck.

It is really sad, I like Nemeses, even the wonky monkey boy in Ugdenbog or Alexander, they are not easy, but if you tweak a bit and know how to handle them, they are doable. And actually fun.

Grava? Just pain. It´s just not worth the effort.

Nullification? As in skills and potions? That would explain a lot, one of my toggled skills adds over 2300 health, and my chaos resistance without a potion is a measly 35% (trade offs, elementals and poison/acid seem to be very, very necessary).

As far as nemesis status I’ve never beaten the game so I didn’t know reputation didn’t reset until just very recently, so I worked my rear off trying to advance reputations as far as possible.

Yeah, removes all buffs (except the xp potion buff). Also deals large amounts of damage, like physical and chaos, energy burn damage (part of the energy burn damage is dealt as regular damage) and health reduction (like 29%). He also fires two nullification projectiles in succession, not just one.

Capped Chaos resist is pretty much the first thing you need to have before facing him.

I found Gabal Thunn harder on my burn retaliation build - 21:50
I took on Grava at 26:13 but always avoided the null balls.

My guess is that Gabal Thunn has high vitality reduction attacks and my vitality isn’t as over-capped as all my other resists. But if anyone can tell me why I’m taking so much more damage from Gabal over Grave I’m happy to listen.

You seem to have been debuffed with Spectral Miasma from an Harbinger or Bloodletter. That stacks with flat resist reduction since Spectral Miasma is all -% RR. That, and a couple of Chthonian Bloodkeepers. Always kill those things first.

All your builds suffer from the same problem - low DA. Even for Main Campaign. You are dying because he is able to land a critical hit on you and burst thru your whole health pool. That’s why you can’t reliably kite around him, because he can catch up and and one-shot you. I would recommend building your main campaign builds in a way that you have at least 2700-2800 DA.

And also, what everybody else said. Run away from his nullification projectiles.

I assume this reply is to me. Anyway, thanks to all people in the forum, I have reworked all of my builds, aiming at 3k DA for each one even if I have to sacrifice damage or (a little) OA for it. My Krieg’s Death Knight has become my most successful build; not only can he kill Grava now, I’m using him to farm Lokarr. I have since killed Grava with some other characters, but so far only that DK can reliably farm Lokarr.

Yeah, no.

Technically that might be true, but if I can facetank Lokarr, I don´t wanna be arse raped by Grava, that´s just silly. It´s just stupid game design.

I am NOT willing to tweak my whole build, just so I can take on ONE mob in the entire fucking game.
