My point being - maybe I need to do something in order to make it work as intended. And I wonder what that is, if that’s the case. Or simply someone to confirm that it’s impossible to modify TQ-AE files due to certain reasons, like patches, or whatever.
If you’re trying to say I edited the screenshot to look as it doesn’t work, I suck at paint, gimp and graphics in general, so it’s impossible I edited it. Also, programming is also not my thing even when I modded Gothic and learned C++. And Defiler is most likely written in another language I didn’t even know existed.
And yeah, I used the old one and there was no flaws, I just forgot to say it right after use (which was like 1 min after I reported the bug).

I know that was your initial point and I replied to that already. I’d take that screenshot as proof it is not working as it sees your chars and still cannot do it, so it is not something you did wrong.
If you need more confirmation than that, maybe check the TQ forums as most people here probably do not play it.

Post saying the tool works great, meaning that it potentially works for some users. Or that it might have worked well before when the posts were made, but for example, the new game patch came out in the meantime, but the tool didn’t receive the update, thus not working properly. It is very well connected, you just need to spot it, it isn’t that hard.
or they use GD (not TQ), or they do not use that feature, or an update to the game broke it after the review like you wrote… that is precisely why I did say that the two (good reviews and a feature not working) are not related and you cannot deduce anything from the reviews
In any case, as I still do not see how this issue could be a user error, as explained, I do expect that this simply does not work for anyone. If that is not enough for you, ask around in the TQ forums
I see no point in further circle-jerking around this. No, there is not a single confirmation that it doesn’t work for anyone, and that is exactly why I asked if it works or it needs a work-around.

No TQDefiler doesn’t work with GD. You need to install GDDefiler which works with Titan Quest, Titan Quest Immortal Throne and Grim Dawn.

It doesn’t have all the mod features from TQDefiler like freeze time of day, infinite potion stacking, etc, yet. Basically just gives your characters’ details and I think you can edit them if you want to.

GDDefiler works. If you click on the link on the first page it says download GDDefiler.
We were talking about the Defiler for TQ, therefore there’s an old TQ version of defiler posted. GD Defiler works.
So I have GD Defiler and keep reading that it works with TQ: AE, but none of the functionality appears to work other than reading character saves.
The “Level me up” button is grayed out for instance. Is it broken with TQ: AE? Any versions work for it?
My tiny brain can’t understand wtf. I simply played the game, died because of falling asleep after the second last teleport of Ragnarok (because that’s how solidly good the DLC is) and wanted to remove the second death caused by falling asleep. This occured:
It occurs in both, TQ Defiler from years back and the GD Defiler. Any ideas?
I am not sure if Defiler is designed for the TQAE + Ragnarok and the latest patch … and not just for the old TQ + IT!?
It’s designed for both. The TQ only version works fine with every other character, so does GD Defiler, but this one gives me that, the one that is almost near the end of Ragnarok. It worked fine yesterday, though.
Does anyone have any idea what is wrong? Game works normally, I can play my character etc, but I can’t do shit with it. Gonna report if something changes if no one knows what’s up and I finish Ragnarok (if I will finish it, lol).
I get that with any character that’s been in the expansion. Should be reported to Soul though just so he knows.
I also got it in Ragnarok only, but when I touched a fountain after the second last teleport. Before I picked the quest Legendary Craftsmanshit I mean Craftsmanship, everything worked fine.
