that dir is the game’s base default when cloud saves are off, perhaps that’s how it checks it/confirms via options settings, and not which directory you manually created/symlinked? 
*speculating it checks settings, similar how GI and GDS would toss out a “oy, you’re using steam cloud save folder, better change it boi!”

I’m back in the hospital for another round of treatment for my lymphoma. It’s been about a year and a half now, and my oncologist has been working hard to find something that will finally put it into remission.
That said, aside from being really tired at times, I often actually feel okay… just stuck in some hospital bed quite frequently.
Thanks for checking up on me! Hopefully, things will get better soon and I’ll be able to get back to some of those fix requests before too long.
