Ok I don’t know what I am doing wrong, but when I try to configure and point GD Stash to where my stash is, it does not see the files.
Any thoughts?
I get this when I try to Import:
And here is what I see when I look for my stash file:
I am still messing with it so I might figure out what I am doing wrong. I loved the program for TQ that you made so i really hope that I can get this one to work!
Hi mamba, love your tool and I have been using this for close to a year now.
I’ve read the OP and I might be blind but I cannot find instructions on how to update to the latest version. How do I do this? I’m currently using v1.0.2d.
The doc subdir contains some info on that in the 01_config.html
Basically, you download the new version, and unzip it over the old version. You can delete everything in the installation dir if you want to, your items are in a separate dir.
OK.ii realy need some help.In my control panel it shows ii have instaled this: java 8 update 121(64bit).
In stash tool ii have only gdstash bat file and one other archive .jar with just a few files. How do ii start this tool?from bat file?
Cloud save enable or disable?
Now is enabled.Ii can start GDtool make all config and ii see all my items there shared stash/character stash everything. But!
Left side-stash transfer tab, right side ii have softcore.gst down ii select one item from inventory and hit move item to data base and then hit save stash.II enter the game and all my 4 stash tabs/items are gone.Must buy them again.
Sry for my engl.

cloud save is finnicky, this would never happen with local saves. Never change your files while you are in game when using cloud save, that seems to prevent most issues (you can still store items, just not move them).
The tool makes a backup, (transfer.t## with ## = 00 being the most recent). Make a copy (so you still have a copt if this fails) and rename it back to transfer.gst / .gsh. Do so while you are not in game.
Sometime cloud save seems to use cloud data over the local data, so try again if this fails to restore the stash.
Ok, so I have changed settings time and time again…but I can’t get it to work.
I need to import the Grim Daen DB but it doesn’t seem to recognize and DB file to import when I go to any of my directories. I assume from the readme doc that it needs to import the actual item list from the install of Grim Dan itself but I get nothing when I point to the directory that actually has it. Any ideas? What am I doing wrong?
Here is a screenshot of my settings trying to import the DB
You import the database on the Config page, last button.
You are on the Mass Import page where you import a lot of items at once, eg if you used multiple stashes for muling. It only cares for stashes and chars and would import their items.
I’m pretty new at this, but I followed all the steps to a T and have GD Stash running no problem, it’s great. Really straightforward. My only issue is when I go to the Char Editor, the 2 fields where it should display my Mastery Names under the devotion fields are blank, and values are 0, despite having points spent into both masteries. Same applies to my 2nd character. I’m wondering if this is a bug, or did I fudge something up? I did import my saves from the cloud, wasn’t aware it defaulted to cloud saving in the first place. But my characters and stashes came over just fine. Just the editor wont pick up/let me edit my masteries.
Thanks for the work you put into this tool, it’s really appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
Edit: Just for some additional information. I tried creating a new character just now (First character not saved on the cloud) and it’s the same deal. 6 into demolitionist, but the mastery display name is blank and has a value of 0.
Thank you for responding. Ok so now that that is figured out, wonder why my stuff doesn’t show up? I see none of my characters or stash. Here is a screenshot of the config I have.
Are you using a mod ? In that case you would need to have the mod selected for ghe mastery name be correct / found. Not sure about the 0 though, will check.
EDIT: just checked, works for me. The only other thing I could think of is that you never imported the GD data on the config page, in which case the editor would work but not recognize the masteries or know their names, but then you should not e.g. see your shared stash on the Transfer page either.
Config looks ok and at the very least you should see a stash on the first page. Unless you use cloud save, you should also see your chars in the drop down lists of the Char Transfer and Char Edit pages.
Are you talking about the Mass Import page ? Did you set the right dir there (ie same as save dir) ?
Hi, i wanted to test a build using this for the first time. It seems to work but when i craft an item while it puts it in the stash from GD stash point of view, it never reach in game Grim Dawn.
This is my save directory, if it can be of any use.
I was using Cloud save, but I transferred my stuff to a local save and it is working there now. I see no stash or any information on any of the tabs for my characters.
I am not using a mod at all. Only the vanilla install since I have just started playing recently.
I will look at this again and see if i can see the import database button since I didn’t see it on the config page where I thought it should be.
I am at work right now but i will take a look tonight. I don’t see it on the screenshot I posted here.
I am sure that I am missing something silly.
Thank you for your help and I will let you know what I see when I get home.
