Quest items also have seeds, they just do not matter to the gameā¦
During the beta the game for some time had an issue that resulted in items not having seeds about 50% of the time. I assume your items are that oldā¦
Whether you keep always one copy of an item or not is something that you specify on the Config page (and by the button you press to store items in the tool).
If you use Copy, the items remains in the stash / database while a copy is placed in the database / stash. If you use move, it is removed in one location and placed in the other.
fine, my point was the Java install takes care of both, so with a proper install the .bat would find the java.exe and double-clicking the jar would also work. But I guess you are right, you can screw up one without screwing up the other
The .bat file only works if Java is installed in the same loaction as specified in the .bat file. If they have a different version of Java, or did a custom install, then the .bat file wouldnāt work.
Theyād need to modify the .bat file, but IIRC, you mention this in the install docs?
Oracle has changed that, Java is no longer put in the systemās path when it is installed. You now have to manually modify your PATH environment variable to include it. Or they can modify the bat file to explicitly set the path to the Java executable. Of course, they have to modify it again when they install a newer version of Java.
Try to start a session with all characters you have in your save folder at least once.
This should update them to the v1.0.1.0 standards and thus terminate the error.
still getting wrong directory. Is there a step I missed possibly? (like the only saved character in that folder is one I created for lanā¦shouldnāt the rest fir campaign be in there as well?)
edit ok I think I got itā¦been cloud saving which is a different directory (finally found the doc lol)⦠C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata<folder of numbers>\219990\remote\save
itās probably easier to delve in the documentation in the docs dir
The tool checks for the existence of a stash file (transfer.gst/.gsh). You got the right dir (for local saves), so if that file does not yet exist, talk to the smuggler in Devilās Crossing to create it and try again
The first two are essential, the last one frequently is problematic too. If you use cloud save, your best bet is to close the game, wait a few secs, edit the char, wait a few secs, start GD again.
If you use local saves it should be one of the first two⦠never had any problems with local saves
