[Tool] GD Stash

interesting, but there was no code change that would have caused that lag and now there is no code change that could have fixed it either, so not sure what is going on there

Trust me, I have no idea either about what was going on, but hey as long as the isssue’s gone, I am a happy camper.

Still just so you know, later I noticed the following behaviour:

  • click crafting tab
  • click search button
  • write any name of an item in ā€œitem nameā€ search field
  • press search button
  • lag… but I could see in background window with (some partial) results appear
  • click again search button (imagine like you would do a double click on the search button)
  • the results windows would apper instantly

tl;dr

  • just double click search button and the results would appear instantly

that sounds like there is some exception occurring during your first search…

Please tell me what exactly you are searching for (what name you enter, what item types etc. are selected) and whether you use a mod (and which version of it)

Didn’t matter what I search for (I actually tested for off-hands, shields, components, augments and relic, if I remember correctly), but I give you an example:

  • selected off-hand
  • item search field ā€œagriā€ā€¦ lag… partial results in backgroung window (codex of agrivix, consumption of agrivix)
  • clicking again search button… full results (including the mythical versions)

I however noticed that inputing ā€œagrivixā€ instead of ā€œagriā€, the lag was significantly lower. No mods used (never installed any), Grim Dawn, Crucibile and AOM installed, GOG version.

With the latest version 1.2.7c the results are again displayed instantly.

Oh, I thought you still had the issue in the latest version when searching by name. If not, then there is nothing to look into. Thanks.

wasn’t aware of this, fixed in next version

God bless your soul, sweet prince. :stuck_out_tongue:

While you’re at it, it would be godly if you added a button that randomized the seed of every item on a stash page. Would make it much easier to use the stash to try and make high rolled gear.

I can also try and get in contact with a guy who may have figured out how the seed determines stats if you like.

Rolling max stats would be next level cheating. I’d rather see a button that just clears the seed in order to roll the stats again in game, but in the end this is again the same thing, because someone will fill their stash with rares he wants to use and then just open GDStash and reroll everything and keep on repeating that.

So basically it’s a bad idea, this just favors cheaters and, as far as I know, essentially that program was made to increase your stash space.

as far as I know, essentially that program was made to increase your stash space.

That’s exactly what and ONLY what I use GDstash for.

Just yanking your chain here, username

I mean, I also use it only to craft, I mean stash my items. I am sure everyone does that.

I usually just create 5 items of the same type and use whichever has the best stats, that is alreadfy pretty close to getting a really good roll

I can also try and get in contact with a guy who may have figured out how the seed determines stats if you like.

I am definitely interested. I have the RNG, but not the stat sequence and there apparently is also something else I miss because when I dabbled in this a bit, I did not get the same values even if the affix had a single stat only (so sequence should not have been an issue)

yes, but for that I need a working logic that gets me the stats from the seed. Had been thinking about the user specifying the priority of the stats and the tool then trying a thousand or so seeds and picking the one with the maximum values according to the priority

Not sure I will add something like this as it truly is just about cheating, but it opens such possibilities

That sounds nice, but if something like this would be implemented, would be nice to get something for something, for example, you get the max OA roll in Lokarr’s Gaze, but you get the lowest roll for HP. I don’t know if the user picking the stat he wants the lowest roll would be good, but just giving hints.

The program can also make illegal item combinations, generate items in your stash for you, edit your characters… etc. etc. Come now. If he doesn’t want to add it that is his prerogative but power to the individual player.

I will put out a word immediately. I’ll keep you updated.

I’ve never forbid or order him doing anything with his program, so I don’t know what you mean.

And so it begins…the seedy underground of the GD forums.

The .jar file only gives me whats included in the rar… I tried open with Java VM but nothing happens. Searched about it for a half a hour now but no clue how I get this running

the .jar is technically a .zip which is why some tools like WinRAR grab that extension. If you install Java, it should assign the extension back to Java, so double-clicking the .jar will start the tool.

Alternatively, you can start it via the .bat file, in that case first make sure (in a text editor) that the path to java.exe in the .bat matches where java.exe is on your system (and change the .bat if needed)

[Suggestion/Question]

Is it possible to implement the extra checkbox to mark the particular items as a ā€œgood rollā€?
For example, I found nice Boneshatter treads, and I want to mark them as ā€œgood rollā€ before moving to DB. It allows to easily find them among others if I need them.
Currently I’m forced to extract all Boneshatters to find which one is good.

Thanks in advance!
