I cannot really answer that. To the best of my knowledge, this tool is correct. I have no idea about grimtools but assume the author also tries to get things right… but then we just had this post:
Before FG i did my build on Grimtools, i was looking for a Infiltrator Chains of Brandis Of Shadows but i couldnt craft on GD Stash
Infiltrator is not a valid prefix for Chains of Brandis, just checked the GD dbr files

Thanks, I had access to the beta though, so that helped. FG did not need many adjustments however, unlike AoM, so the other tools will probably catch up soon.
I’m not sure about how to update from 1.4.1 to 1.4.1a (I’m using the exe-version of this tool). Can I just run the new exe-file or do I have to uninstall the old version and then run the new exe-file? Which files should I save before doing so?

You are better off uninstalling the old version first, but it is not essential. Ultimately the difference just is that you otherwise have some obsolete entries in the registry for the old version.
You then run the installer of 1.4.1a.
Your collected items are not affected by any of this.

Hey. I’ve only been using GD stash for a little while nows so i’m not very experienced. Great mod btw! Very helpful But when i try to import database to update it for FG it gives me this error: Java heap space
java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space. Any ideas? Any help would be much appriciated
try using the GDStash.exe that nowadays comes with the Java version, that should set a high enough heap size (it also prefers the 64bit version, which does not usually run into this problem).
When I import the database in the configuration tab, I still can’t see any FG changes or items. Are the FG items in a different file/directory?
they should be imported along with the vanilla and AoM items.
During the import it should mention that it is processing FG (messages ‘Decompressing Forgotten Gods’ and ‘Importing Forgotten Gods’).
If upon starting GD Stash you do not see the FG loading screen but the AoM screen, then the tool does not identify that you have FG. It identifies this by finding within the GD install dir the file and subdir gdx2\database\GDX2.arz, so if you have that, it should identify that you have FG installed, otherwise it assumes you do not.

sometimes the easiest way is the best. I restarted GD Stash, to look if the FG banner was showing and imported the database, now it works. Everything went according to plan, thank you Mamba.
hi new to gd and the stash. im haveing a issue i was getting the fg loading screen but the item wouldnt show then i went to import database its start compressing fg, ashes then freezes everytime when it starts decompressing gd. i have to task manger just to close it.
when i log back on to gd stash everythings gone nothing shows up in the database when i search and it show that there is nothing in my stash when i have items there in game
Unless you can finish the import, the tool won’t recognize any items, which is why your stash is displayed as empty.
As to why the import would freeze, I have no idea. Are you maybe just not waiting for it to finish ? How do you know it froze ?
GDStash just deleted my entire fucking shared stash for the SECOND time now. What the fuck causes this? I am fucking seething.
Cloud save is causing this. If you use cloud save and have GD running while making changes in GD Stash, this can happen and is outside the tool’s control. GDS writes the file back correctly and something after that point then decides that it should rather reset the stash. If you use local saves this never happens.
As to ‘deleting’ your stash, the tool makes a backup first, in case anything goes wrong. The dir will contain transfer.t## files, with .t00 being the most recent backup, .t01 the one before that and so on, up to .t09 (only the last 10 backups are kept).
If you rename the transfer.t## to transfer.gst you will see whatever was in it. Given that you use cloud save, I’d copy it and rename the copy. That way you still have the original when cloud save decides to randomly screw you over again…

So i have been using GDstash for a while now, but after i updated to the newest A version, the vast majority of items that exist are not showing.
For instance, selecting ‘All items’ then adjusting item attributes to skill bonus (literally anything) causes zero results. Same with skill modifier or item skill for me. Never had this issue before when searching. Anyone have any ideas?
