Sorry to bother again, but now i can’t use the Stash for some reason haha
My characters don’t appear in the selection screen and when i try to Import Database it says “Wrong Directory”
help, please?
The .ini contains some other data as well. Go to the Config page and specify the save dir etc. again.
There is no need to import the GD data again.
The save dir is already specified, nothing happens and the pop up “wrong directory” appears
If it says that it is the wrong dir, then it is the wrong dir, i.e. it contains no save files.
So either you use cloud save (change the dir then) or create a char first.
All fixed, i thought it was pulling the save from the “steamapps” folder but it was in the Documents/My Games folder, so, again, my mistake.
Thanks again man
The important part here is that the import was successful, so the 1.1.7.x items are now available in the tool.
The warning is about a rare medal that was apparently removed from GD, so while it exists in your stash / on some char, it no longer exists in game.
Hey @mamba, first off, thanks for making GDStash - best tool around for GD by far!
Just wanted to pass along an apparent bug I found that using the latest 1.1.7.2 database with both expansions installed. I started fresh recently and deleted everything, but wanted the illusions to start (since Fashion Dawn > Grim Dawn ).
Unfortunately, it appears that not all of the illusions are unlocked. It was mostly white base items, but some Epics such as Baldir’s Helm (but the rest of the set is fine). Not sure what happened - I did try the tool several times to try and get them all. I can send you my transmutes file if you want as well as any other information you need.
Will look into this, generally speaking the tool decides what to add based on mesh, texture, bump map and some other stuff, as there are some items that are identical in those (the tool then takes the lowest level one to add), e.g regular and mythical versions of the same unique items, MIs at levels 30, 50, 70 and 90 or so
So I assume that there is an ‘identical’ item (with regards to what goes into this comparison) that takes precedence over Baldir’s Helm and this is the reason why it is not included.
The one question then is: is it truly a duplicate or am I missing a criteria I should include in the comparison (and as a way to determine this, what is that other item…), so I’ll check that
Thanks for checking into it.
I looked at some old backup saves and the transmutes file has been increasing in size. A month ago when I wiped the characters and ran GDStash to the illusions it was 93KB, then a few days later it was 94KB, now it’s up to 96.54KB.
It was mostly white items, but a few Epics I’ve seen so far. It could be the identical items with multiple level versions. I just notice it with GrimInternals with the notification of a new Illusion added.
Are you sure you are using the latest version (1.5.2c) ? It should be fixed in that one…
That would probably do it Looks like I have 1.51.
Sorry for the trouble!
I spotted a pre-compiled (no JVM needed) version of GD Stash. Where can I find that pre-equipped software bundle?
Second link under Downloads in OP.
It comes with a JVM, it is just bundled in, so if you have Java installed already there is no real reason to use this one. Whilte the program is actually compiled, Java can dynamically load classes, so to execute those, the JVM is included regardless (GD Stash uses this when switching between themes, everything else should really be compiled to binary)
The reason I’m thinking to use that is because I’ve been unable to install a JVM/JRE inside this Steam-Play wine prefix.
Couldn’t you use a Linux JVM at that point and access the GD save data that way (Linux should have access to your Windows drives) ? Not sure why it has to be within WINE.
