yes, that does not affect the data, you can use the tool as normal. The issue is that you have some files (characters or stash) in an unsupported format and cannot be used with it. My guess is that you are not on 1.8.0 yet and the unknown format is the Fangs of Asterkarn beta

Silly question; is there any way to change stack size when crafting? Say I want to give myself 20 Dynamite; do I really need to fill a page with dynamite then combine in-game? Or is there a way to change the count in a stack? The “Count” box is not editable.
Edit: Nevermind, you have to set the count field before placing, after selecting in list after search. If you place it you have to completely re-search and re-select. That’s a bit clunky, but at least it’s doable (for future searches I’ll leave my dumb question up).
Hey mamba!
Is the ascended bonus baked into the seed of the item? Should we avoid storing ascended items in the database for now or not? For example:
I do not really know much about these things yet. Given the new item format in the save file, there only is an ID for it, not a separate seed, so I assume that it is baked into the seed or entirely independ of the seed (i.e. fixed values only). I assume it is the latter given the 30% for both damage conversions.
You can store them in the database, I added the fields for them, they just are not displayed and cannot be modified until I get a better understanding of them
Awesome, thank you
Edit: it’s actually my first time using the tool “for real”. With affix rerolling eventually coming to the game, I have started storing all kinds of half-bad MIs so that requires room!
if you do not mind sharing your char, I’d appreciate if you could share it with me, so I can look into the logic for how to display the ascended information
hello. i downloaded this mod again recently and reinstalled the game. after running the import database and getting the message that it was sucsessful. when i reopen the mod i cant find any of my characters or items to edit or view.
Sounds like you did not specify the correct save path on the config page
Thank you again so much for this tool!
I always thought proc meme builds were unachievable for me, but in the end it goes pretty quickly when you can store everything you drop:
gets even more achievable if you use the crafting feature and slap proc affixes on as prefix and suffix on everything
even if “filthy gds cheated”, unironically one of the most entertaining and hilarious levelling chars i’ve had
Is there a way to transfer the database from GD stash to GD Item Assistant?
i think i’ve heard so? but not 100% sure (i don’t use gdIA),
check in the item assistant thread/discord channel if IA can import the export file GDstash makes ?
GDStash has an export tab so you should be able to.
You can export the content from GD Stash into a file and Item Assistant should be able to read it.
This at least is true for any versions before 1.8.0, with Fangs of Asterkarn that format has changed a little to allow for the new fields in the item. I do not believe that IA supports those / the new format of the GDS save file yet.
Not until the expansion is released, unfortunately.
Or rather: If you have the new GDS format, I can always just add support for reading it, discarding any additional fields.
I’d recommend doing that, for now all you can do is ignore them, will PM you
Whenever I edit a character the greatest damage dealt resets and becomes equal to greatest damage taken for some reason. I wonder if i do something wrong or there’s a way to fix that?
Hey guys, i’ve been using GD stash for a while now.
Today i was trying to use the Char Editor but this message popped up >
(It worked fine yesterday)
I will have to fix that, was a copy & paste issue, needed to change the function I am calling.
