did you get any error messages or did you simply not press the ‘Import DB’ button ?
I did set up the configuration tab of the program as you wrote it in the tutorial.
on that same tab, press ‘Import DB’

Well, i wasn’t running GDStash on fullscreen, so the button didn’t show up.
I’m sorry, my bad.
Thanks for your quick help tho!
I am not able to input the address of save files while i`m trying to configure the program - I receive an error massage (screenshot). The file location is correct. If someone can help i will appreciate it.
What location did you specify ? In the screenshot no dir is shown
The program checks that the dir contains a transfer.gst or transfer.gsh file. Unless it does, the dir is not accepted.
it does for me. As mentioned, the Install Dir needs to contain database\database.arz to be recognized, the Save Dir needs to contain a shared stash file. Can’t really tell you anything else here.
Post screenshots of the dirs in the Explorer and in GD Stash if the files are there and GD still does not recognize it.
Probably its because there was no shared stash file - i
m using the Steam version, i copied the characters but probably forgot about the shared stash. I`ll try again tomorrow and will let you now. Otherwise the path was C:\Users\Armitage\Documents\My Games\Grim Dawn\save.
Generally its not enough to just copy the files, you also have to disable cloud saving, or GD will simply ignore your new files.
The path looks fine, please check if you have a stash there
I have already done that
Awesome work, mamba! Works like charm. The problem was missing transfer stash file. Cheers!
v1.0.0.5 - no no longer reads the chars - version not supported.
The save file format changed because the Crucible adds some things. I imagine it will take a few days for Mamba to make the changes.
Please update the tool to the latest version, that should support 1.0.0.5.
If you still have issues, let me know
Is the data for my items in GD Stash actually stored in the .jar file or is it in another file in a different folder. I always like to back up my data files regularly and I’m not sure what file and folder to back up to make sure my GD Stash items are covered.
The data is in your user dir (usually C:\Users<username>) in a GDStash subdir (unless you use an old version).
Most of that is Grim Dawn data however, so if you want your items only, you can extract them to a file on the Mass Import page and save some 50 or so MB.
So I’m trying to use this, and have had it work in the past, but now, with the newest version freshly installed, I get all sorts of errors when I try to import the database.
I attached an image of the errors I’m getting, any help you can offer? I have no idea why this isn’t working.
Works beautifully - thank you
Looks like you can’t change the points assigned to the Mastery 'though any more
Will have to look into that, hadn’t noticed that yet
