I have no issues with your stash, none of the items give me that message and when I import the DB again, I also do not get it.
Do you have any mods installed that have stashes ? Otherwise I simply cannot replicate any of this, which is not exactly making it an easy fix.

No need to be sorry, not your fault. I just cannot reproduce your issue with not seeing the item details, which is odd given that we are looking at the same base item(s). So no idea what is going on there.
I believe the tag issue is unrelated to this, but at least that one I can understand. Fixing it won’t be that easy though, because I think that at this point in time I need to rework the logic. I never liked it much and over time it got worse with additional cases / exceptions, so now it is time to clean this up…

After updating Windows 10 Anniversary Update I now have
“A Java exception has occured” error at start. Updating Java doesn’t help.
Java version is 1.8.0._101
edit: Problem gone, stash works fine again. Not sure how exactly I fixed it.
Hi, just discovered your tool and was really happy to finally have a centralized way to access all of my stashes.
However I came across two issues.
The first is that the batch file assumes that the java is jdk1.8.0_91 and since it couldn’t find it in my system (I have jre1.8.0_101) it wouldn’t load. Easy enough to fix.
The second was that once I successfully built the database I went to batch import all of my stashes and got this ridiculous amount of errors:

I should point out that both characters as well as all stashes in the “Old2” folder are from around build b15 or so which is I’m guessing why it doesn’t like the backup gdc file (although I’ve tested them in the past and the game itself had no issue loading and converting them to the new version).
However I am unsure why so many legit items would error out saying they had no seed. A LOT of others (yellow and green) would be detected as invalid.
Not sure I’d want to batch import them now and get issues down the road.
In case it helps, I’ve kept a few older GD builds backed up (b17, b26 & b28) but it’s been ages since I’ve loaded them and I’m afraid they might corrupt sth.
Finally, a feature request based on the above. Would it be possible to filter items in Mass Import based on attributes such as rarity (White -> Purple) and/or Min/Max level so that, since they didn’t error out, I could at least import my blues?

The only errors you had were the old save files, the rest are warnings.
I am not supporting old char versions because by the time I did add char support I no longer had any files in that old format, so I could not analyze it. If GD can still read them, I suggest you load them in GD first, save them in the new format and then try again.
The warnings are due to your items, that is not a bug in the tool but an old (and since fixed) bug in GD where a lot of items (initially about 50%, with the fixes it got less in the first step and resolved in a second) were generated without a seed.
An item without a seed works just like a regular one, it’s just that it has predictable bonus values, ie if you have two items with the same affix or two epics of the same type and both have no seed, all their values will be identical.
You can import all of these items if you want to, there won’t be any issues with them. The warning is just showing you that these are really old items (from when the bug still existed) that due to the GD bug got no seed. It is not a problem with the tool.
Personally I got rid of all of them, but technically there is no need to.
If an item is not found in the database, then it no longer exists in GD. See for example the Venomous Fang component. While you still have it in the stash, it cannot be imported into the tool - and if you were to load that stash in GD the item would disappear as well

To clarify, both chars are CURRENT characters that were INITIALLY created using b15 so I am to guess this means that the game converts the “main” gdc to the new format but leaves the “backup” one in the old format?

I am basically interested in only importing the (seeded) Blues but manually selecting them one by one would be a proper headache.

I assume the backup is one you did, that dir is definitely one that was manually created and is ignored by GD.

There are no filtere for this, if you look at the Seed column, an empty seed is 00000000
No, the backup folder was created by the game after an update (think around build 25 or so). It wasn’t created by myself.
I am aware there aren’t any now, I can’t even sort them in any way as far as I can tell (not even by column). I was making a feature request for a future version
If I store multiple instances of an epic item in the database, it overwrites their seeds to all be the same. Thus, if they had slightly different stats before being stored, after being moved back onto a character, they are now completely identical. Is this intended behavior?

I just created a new stash with 7 different variations of two blues that I have in my db (for a total of 14 items) and all of them carried over the different seeds and thus, had different stats when I loaded them up in game.
There is sth else that I noticed however ever since I started using the tool.
Now in my “save” folder there’s a bunch of “transfer.h??” files and in my character’s folder, a bunch of “player.g??”, where ?? = dual numerals i.e. 00, 01, 02 etc.
Are those created by the tool?

if i remember correctly it’s a backup created by the GD Stash in which number indicate which one is the first / second / etc.

This happened to me as well after 1.0.0, and I have to stop using it to store my items.
Here’s an example, 2 Gollus’ Ring, first with no affix at all, second with 2 affix. It only shows the first one I copied into DB. As you can see the icon has a number “2” at its corner.

They are backups of your old files. Whenever you save, I do not overwrite the file but create a new file. The old file gets renamed.
transfer.g## for SC, transfer.h## for HC stash, player.g## for chars.
00 being the most recent version 09 the oldest (anything older than that does get deleted)

Another difference…
The older version if you used the crafting tab and put in values for Phys Cunn and Spir and level would only show you the items that were those values or less.
The level part still works but the stats no longer filter the search display…
