[Tool] GD Stash

Version 1.01f released

Another feature request, would it be possible to directly copy/move an item from a character to the stash? That would be useful for quest and soulbound items that we wouldn’t normally want to add to the DB (such as items already in the DB that had a component added, those are just clutter).

EDIT: Also a question if I may, I was checking at the filters (both in Search and Crafting) and I couldn’t find “Grants Skill” or “+? to x skill”.

Are they missing or am I just not looking where I should?

Finally, would it be possible to ALSO add a Min/Max level in the “Filter” in crafting? There is one in search but the sufixes can send the effective level of the crafted item to insane levels over the one intended (I even saw lvl 90 suffixes!!!)

that should already be possible, see Char Transfer page

they are missing, the search screen is already pretty big and the search rather complex

anything is possible  will check how much work that is…

Each affix shows its level, so it should not be too hard to pick the right one already

this error.

I am sorry to bother you so much but I can’t find a button to transfer an item from a character (inventory or personal stash) to the Smuggler (transfer) Stash.
Unless you meant transfer an item from the inventory to the personal stash in which case I knew that already.

Sorry man but that’s too general of an error to mean anything.
For starters, why don’t you try to install the latest Java x64 version:
http://javadl.oracle.com/webapps/download/AutoDL?BundleId=211999

Might also be a good idea to update the x32 version as well, just to be sure:
http://javadl.oracle.com/webapps/download/AutoDL?BundleId=211996

Try them both and see if that helps

I updated the java to the latest version, but is giving this recent it crashes and closes the program. what to do?

continues the error Java Exception has ocurred

that does not exist, you can already do that in game

Unless you meant transfer an item from the inventory to the personal stash

I meant from the char to the tool

help mamba

That pretty much should never happen. It is the message that pops up when something entirely unexpected happened which is not already handled elsewhere (as the alternative would be to just have a hung program at that point…)

There is no good way to determine what went wrong as this basically could be anything given the lack of detail provided in the message (which is not mine but from the Java exception).

I believe the only time this should possibly occur is with a screwed up installation. Try deleting the content of the install dir and extracting the zip again. Let me know if that fixes it.

the error is not in my computer because the previous version worked quietly , and I did not move anything on the computer kept the same things and updated the java to the latest .

Did you try what I proposed ? There is no point arguing, the issue is with your PC / the tool installation because no one else has it, so all that is left to do is to figure out what it is.

now it is opening but crashes and closes.

what do you mean by opening, what page opens and can you do anything, or does it crash right away ?

Are there any messages when it crashes (run it from the command prompt, to make sure you are not missing any) ? Does it always crash right away or do you do something that makes it crash ? If so, what do you do that gets it to crash ?

I just open the program , I try to squeeze in ok and it crashes and closes.

Might I suggest the following?

Completely uninstall and reinstall Grim Dawn, to cover the event that something in its’ database has become corrupt.
OBVIOUSLY backup your “Documents\My Games\Grim Dawn” folder before removing anything.

Then backup, completely remove and re-install the GD Stash Tool. Since it will be the first time to run (again) it will ask you to import the (game’s) database again. Do so.

After that it should run again without a problem. At that point you could try to re-import your previous (GDStash tool’s) item database from the backup that you made before uninstalling the old installation.
Hopefully the crashes won’t return but if they do, then it must mean that there is a corruption in the Tool’s database.

Hope you kept copies of your shared stash files!!!

BTW, @mamba after updating the tool to version 1.01e, it too asked me to import the game’s database again but once I did, it worked just fine.

I know, I set it so it does ask

The fix for the attribs not working properly on the crafting page required a recalculation of the attrib values, which only get calculated during the import

but it crashes before you press ok to open the program as a whole. I can not open coz it crashes and closes …

I am running. windows 10 anniversary build 64 bit. Installed JDK 1.8.0.101 64 bit.
When I run the system using the bat file… I get the black window and also the information window come up. saying to import the database. I click ok and that window closes. But in the dos box windows. I Get some errors coming up.

Exception in thread “main” java.lang.ExceptionInInitializerError

at org.gdstash.ui.GDStashFrame.<clinit>(GDStashFrame.java:301)

That is the errors that come up just wanting to let you know and hope this helps.

I know in the anniversary build they did remove some older api coding just letting you know

so do I, that definitely does not cause problems

ok, quick check, do you have any transfer stash in the save dir (mod or vanilla) ?
