[Tool] GD Stash

fixed it thanks for bearing with me

So, any error messages ? What happened to your Java exception ?

Well first of all got the wrong dir java was written with capital J
2nd i had 32 bit java had to download the 64bit
The problem now is http://imgur.com/a/EVBFw
And there is no such forlder as specified in the html doc file for the mass import

Windows does not distinguish between upper and lower case, so should have been something else

ok, that should get you past the import (which it did)

First off, you are on the Config Page, so the errors you are seeing are independent of the Mass Import.

Second, the dirs in the documentation are examples / dirs I use, yours will most likely be different.
Chances are for the Mass Import, you should use the save dir, the only exception would be if you swapped transfer stashes to have more storage space in the past, in that case specify the dir in which you keep those transfer stashes.

Finally, the import was successful, the error you see most likely is due to the changed char file format of 1.0.0.5 HF2, which is not yet supported (or rather, only in the beta release in post 1574. So you are all set as for as tool setup is concerned.

Hey and thank you for your amazing work. This tool is my absolute favorite. I have just one question. I just got the cruciable dlc and i have no idea how to configure the GD stash. Could you help me a bit? Sory if the question was alrdy answered but there are too many lines in this thread

If you have used it before, then there is no need to change anything. The Crucible has no new items or specific chars, so everything stays the same.

If the question is about how to configure it in general

  • specify the dir Grim Dawn is installed in
  • specify the save dir (usually My Games\Grim Dawn\save)
  • save the config
  • import the database
  • done

and now?

and now you use the 64bit JVM instead of the 32bit one

If you already do, see FAQ and Config documentation (in doc subdir)

but I am using the 64-bit version

Are you sure ?

Usually the heap issue only happens with the 32bit JVM (due to a bug in it).

In that case edit the included bat file so it uses your JVM and use it, as it increases the heap size.

edit where ?
if you can explain to me

In the dir you extracted the zip to, there is a file called gdstash.bat.

In it, you need to edit the path to your JVM (java.exe), so it knows what directory it is installed in, e.g.

@ "C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.8.0_101\bin\java.exe" -Xms1024m -Xmx1024m -jar GDStash.jar

‘Program Files’ is the 64bit one (assuming you have a 64bit OS), ‘Program Files (x86)’ is the 32bit JVM

Test my version from here: http://www.grimdawn.com/forums/showpost.php?p=415159&postcount=1352 @Batch file!

Hi, I recently installed the beta for the crucible update, and I’m now getting an error saying "error reading C:\program files…“character name” " and also an error saying: “java.lang.NegativeArraySizeException”. Basically I cant load a character on the character editor. Please help thank you.

You should only get a ‘Version not supported’ error, no negative array size

I suspect your issue is the latest hotfix as the previous formats should be supported. Try the beta build http://www.grimdawn.com/forums/showpost.php?p=426524&postcount=1574 if you still have the same issue, please post the player.gdc file

mamba , I discovered my mistake was that java had given conflict , I had to reinstall the 64-bit version again , and open the program, working.thanks

I am also getting this error with the lates version (java.lang.NegativeArraySizeException). How do i post my gdc file?

Upload it at some file hoster and post a link here or PM me for an email address

Okay i Uploaded to robustfiles, here is the link https://rbfi.io/dl.php?key=/HVJ3/BubbsPlayergdc.rar

Perfect, finally someone who should have some tokens in the Crucible

How many tokens do you have in the different difficulties ?

Alternatively, can you post the entire char, so I can take a look myself ?
