[Tool] Grim Dawn Item Assistant

I’m not sure if this has been asked for but I was hoping you’d consider developing a dark theme for this program?

I have bad eyes and black on white/light hurts me to look at nowadays. I use the high contrast windows theme on my computer for that reason but doing so makes this program nearly unusable, plus the item cards in the main window don’t get changed anyway so it’s moot but it’s a hassle to switch back and forth just for this program. To say nothing of the headaches…

Just a friendly suggestion! Thank you for the awesome tool.

Hey,

I tried using the tool, but it never finds any items. I reinstalled it, reinstalled the game, ran it as admin, but none of that worked. I also tried to reboot after installation and run if afterwards, that didn’t work either. My OS is Win10 x64.
Since i’m kinde out of ideas, I’d be thankful for any helpful advice how to make the tool working.

I can forward it to the design guy, but I doubt he’ll bother.
He’s really not that invested in IA.

But if you or a friend of yours know any CSS, it should be trivial to make it darker.

  1. Is cloud saving deactivated?
  2. Do you have items in your last SHARED STASH tab?

Run ia, dump an item in there and run away from the smuggler.
Then send me your log file ( [email protected] )

OK, the program updated itself and I can see the gear icon now.

Here’s a feature request if it’s something easy to implement: a button to remove all filters (the check-boxes on the left).

Cheers for all your hard work Slipperypete!

Hum… how about… ESC?

YOU RULE!

I have the exact same problem with a buddy and we’re both running version 1.2.6518.40509.

I’ve identified the issue.

I’ll get it fixed in the near future, but I need to improve the performance for buddy items. The IA startup time and general performance while buddyitems is syncing is too low.

I am using the latest version
GrimDawn installed "F:"drive

  1. Database mods
  2. Vanilla
  3. Load database
  4. Wait for it to finish
  5. Send me the log file =)

Thanks Slipperypete!

Should we worry about the mythical gear stored in IA with all the changes to mythical gear in today’s patch? I mean what happens when you pull some gear out of IA that’s been changed in-game by the patch?

I have no idea what changed this update, but stat tweaking etc is no concern for IA.

IA doesn’t modify or care about item stats, at the most you’ll need to load the database again, for any added/removed/tweaked stats to reflect properly inside IA.
Once transferred into the game, the items will reflect whatever changes were done in the patch.

Yeah I noticed that IA automatically parsed the database today. Cool stuff.
You really should check out the patch notes though, they changed a whole lot of things:
http://www.grimdawn.com/forums/showthread.php?t=63271

Seems I need to support a new folder for mods.
Not much else juicy in there

I usually got duplicate item a lot from IA, is there anyone got the same problem ?

  1. Has this been going on for long?
  2. Do you have steps to reproduce the issue?

Yes, it’s been quite a long time. I will have to grind some more items with same name to test and reproduce this duplicate problem again i think

They have the exact same stats when you transfer them back ingame?
There was a duplication issue, but that was maybe 6 months ago…

I’ll get a fix to ensure it cannot happen, ever.

The question is if the items should be deleted, or left inside GD and a popup inside IA saying why it wasn’t looted.
If its deleted, there’s a 0,00000000005% chance of losing an item, if you do happen to get a pure duplicate.
You’d need at least 500,000 copies of a given item for it to start being a real probability. But everyone can win the lottery once, right

Patch notes experimental build
(no push, manual updates only):

  • Now supports translations/language packs for expansion items

And a quick reminder that IA can be translated into your preferred language.
So ask your language pack devs to include IA translations

Also added http://grimdawn.dreamcrash.org/ia/misc/tags_ia.txt

Last chance, if no translations show up, no more effort will be made to keep IA localizeable.
