[Tool] Grim Dawn Item Assistant

PS: IA is now available in Russian.
Portuguese is coming shortly.

Pete, is there any way to filter monster infrequent items? I have quite a few greens in IA and I’d like to know if there is any way to distinguish the MI greens.

Thanks again!

There is currently no way to filter by MI greens, but if you filter by greens IA will tell you if an item has 1, 2 or 3 greens in it.

It wont tell you if its 1 green + 2 yellow affixes or 1 green +2 white affixes, but it if its 2 or 3 greens, a small (+1) or (+2) will appear on the item.
Most of the +2/+3 items will be a MI.

But of course it wont help you find MIs with lesser affixes.

Gotcha, that’s helpful enough. Thanks again!

A question came from the user that GDIA does not recognize GD.

When he launches GDIA, nothing is displayed in the Database/Mod page, and it says “Key #1 not found, stopping parse of steam config” in the log.
In this case, how does GDIA recognize GD?

Try starting Grim Dawn, minimize it and then start IA.
IA will detect GD when its running.

Thanks for the answer, I added the explanation on our wiki. So far, no one is suffering from this problem.

There is no report from him, but I think that the problem has been resolved.

Edit: Today, I received a report from the questioner that GDIA correctly recognized GD in your way. He is rejoicing a lot.

Seems the item dupe issue has not been truly fixed just yet.

To avoid duplication:
Any time IA loots an item, open the stash and ensure that the item is gone.
If you open devotions without re-visiting the stash, item duplication will occur.

I’m working on a few ways to get the issue resolved.
One of them is activating instaloot by default, just need to add support for changing the tab it loots from. (enabling instaloot will lock it to tab 4)

The other is a bit harder. But rest assured a fix is coming.

For now, just re-visit the stash anytime you’ve looted items.

Love the program, been using it forever with no problems. Just ran into my first bit of weirdness tonight: I picked up two blueprints for the Cinderplate Girdle in the same run. Used one and stashed the other, but the blueprint doesn’t show up in the stash. Relic blueprints show up fine.

Does it show up if your search by name?

Nope. Tried “Cinderplate” and “Blueprint: Cinderplate Girdle” and the only things that show up are the two actual items (which dropped randomly a long time before I found the recipe). Tried it with the “Show recipes as items” option both checked and unchecked too.

Send me your userdata.db file to [email protected]
You can find it by going to settings and clicking ‘view data’.

I’ll take a look. Make sure you mention what it’s about in the email itself.

I’ve noticed for quite a few items, there are missing stats, was wondering if it’s on my end.

Please see attached.

In this example, “Temper” is missing on the item inside GDIA.

If I were to query items with Demo skills, this item would not appear, which of course I find useful when filtering items for a build.

Just wondering if there is a solution I can apply on my end, thanks!

I was just about to do that this morning (sorry, haven’t been at my home computer for a couple of days) when I booted up the program again just to check, and the blueprint does show up now. Was there an update? Maybe shutting it down and starting it up again fixed it?

Experimental build Patch notes:

  • No longer refreshes items anytime you change character in the menu [only when swapping between hardcore and softcore]
  • Now supports having recipes from both regular and hardcore
  • Instaloot is now on by default
  • Instaloot no longer disables each patch
  • “Insta transfer” is now disabled
  • Instaloot is now silently ignored / not used if the player has mods [since it doesn’t know the items are from mods]
  • Instaloot now uses the tab configured inside IA (will need to restart GD for it to take effect)
  • [Hopefully] Fixed an issue which could sometimes crash IA while transferring an item, causing the item to get duplicated.
  • Fixed an item dupe bug related to opening devotions
  • Increased the logging for online syncing
  • Fixed an item dupe issue when transfering half a stack and using online sync (potions/components)

You are looting the shared stash, right ? Each shared stash stores the mod it is for, so you could know where each item is from (in the sense that it dropped while playing the mod, it still could be either a vanilla or mod item).

If you then do not find it in the vanilla database it is from the mod, same for affixes, embedded components or augments, but if you simply store the item based on which mod it dropped in rather than based on whether it could also drop in vanilla / only in the mod, you do not distinguish these cases

Hi Pete,

Seems that online backups are disabled for me. I searched the thread but didn’t find any info on it. I’m running version 1.2.6543.12021.

Thanks!

For those without mods, I hook into the game and items simply vanish the moment they are transferred.
Never arrives in the transfer stash.

Which mod is being played seems to be trickier to read after the game has started.
Previously had some issues with joining multiplayer games after hooking into mod info.

But now that you mention it… I could potentially use that information to see which mod is being used…
EDIT: Yup, seems the issues I’ve had relates to reading the mod info without taking game mode into account.

Have you tried clicking the login button?

Yeah, it asks me to login and then I get the confirmation email, I click the link and I get the confirmation message from http://items.dreamcrash.org. I’ve done this like 3-4 times already. It worked find until a few days ago. I also just updated to the new version, 1.2.6551.26122.
