I have the same issue using Firefox 42 and Internet Explorer 11.
Yep, fixed. thanks.
Its quite big, actually… Each “shape” image is between 256x256 and 512x512(and 512x512 is quite common) and there are over 80 of them. Each of them has like 5 skills, I think. These images are over 30 mb for shapes alone, after extracting. And poe skill maps usually use something like flash or canvas so plain html wasn’t enough for them. I might have to change the site ui to something more like poe builders once I make a basic version. Lets see what I will come up with
Fixed. It was a rendering issue, so the links you saved will now work, as well. Also, unrelated small update: page titles now say the build name for saved builds as well. (might want to ctrl+f5)
Are the constellation images necessary for a Devotion calculator? Perhaps just showing the lines and the individual nodes, something like an abstract star map, would be a saner version due to loading speed of large images.
Always impressed by this. Thanks for dedicating your spare time to it.
One thing I’m noticing is that you give us 30 points from levels 50-60 but we only get 2 per level.
We should get 18 points from 51-60 in this case.
Bug: Ring of Frost (Ring of Steel’s transmuter) has no icon associated with it.
Google Chrome.
Edit:
We should get 18 points from 51-60 in this case.
- I feel bad for counting this out on my hands…
Its 20 as there’s 10 levels x2.
Will fix, thanks. also… see below
So instead of saying “Points available: 178” it should say “Points available 168”, right? Or is it 166? It should be 168 from what I see, but I dont know when the game does this, leveling from 50 to 51 or 49 to 50 and so on.
I probably should put a “?” next to it and say “3 points per level from level 1 to 50, 2 points per level from level 50 to 60, 1 from side quest”, can someone share the complete list, all you get by completing the standard game, quests and all? I haven’t checked quests in a long time. It should display a lvl 60 blank char, that made no choices but killed bosses and completed quests. I can probably just check every quest but by the rate you guys play this game I think this might be common knowledge among you guys
Thanks
168
1 from a quest
3 per level from when you reach level 2 to level 50 is 147
2 per level from when you reach level 51 to level 60 is 20
Total is 168
Great tool. Still waiting for the devotion.
Sounds about right, thanks.
Still? Its been a week since the patch came out. Its been like 3 days since I first looked at it. Thats brutal, dude.
Since some people are wondering, have a PSA. I have implemented some of it and have a kinda working version(missing icons and affinities). I probably don’t have some of these new properties that came with this patch. I am not sure what will happen once I draw the lines(effectively doubling the amount of html elements), but as for speed the current one works fine with a modern browser on a pc that can barely run GD on lowest settings with missing textures. I am thinking about making this one huge image and coloring them according to their affinities and stuff, maybe making it all one huge image except for the stars. So I will be testing out these. Don’t expect this to come out tomorrow, but its not going to take a month or anything like that. It will probably be practically usable in a few days then I will deploy it soon after that. Few posts above, I estimated I’d be done with this by weekend, and now we’re here, such is life
This image doesn’t add much, but this page looked pretty text heavy ~__~
Shouldn’t be -too much- of a problem, bandwidth wise(still not nice, though). Having these images on a single screen wasn’t so bad either, I just tried. Unless something I do later on is more expensive than I expect, looks fine for the moment Can always fall back to something like that, though.
Stay tuned.
I definitely will. I’ve spent alot of time playing with this calculator.
Thank you and keep up the good work!
I look forward to. Thanks in advance for the great work
Can’t wait for the devotion calculator Stormcaller. I’m sure you will do a stellar job!
Wind Devil doesn’t show its ability (Impair aim). Please fix it.
So heres a full grimcalc page that displays a devotion demo on top. please wait for it to load as it may take some time since this is unoptimized version of grimcalc, so it should be at around 3~4 mb with devotion as a single image:
http://104.236.206.28/Mastery/Soldier
and heres a version that display these and also displays 87 constellation nodes as html elements with large images – this is useless of course, but I’m wondering how far can I take it without making it completely halt. Please also try this if the link above was fine for you, and let me know how worse was this or if this was still OK:
http://104.236.206.28/Masteryalt/Soldier
I’m not even adding this to grimcalc as another page, so that should tell you about the quality you should expect. In my case, I didn’t face any major issues and it had its half-functions working. This is “I would use this if I needed to check this one thing” level of quality here. Just a test version.
I’m interested in performance or browser issues, mostly performance. Let me know if this is slow for you, freezes at times, or is broken in your browser/pc/resolution. Usability will get better ofc. Lets see how this is for you guys perf. wise?
A few skills will have empty tooltips and such visual bugs will exist, please just test the speed. Oh also, its kind of infinite. please dont keep dragging once you reach the end.
(it shouldnt work on mobile, and its a huge image. if you are reading this on mobile, dont click any of these links. oh and, some of its just color changes so thats also temporary.)
Ah, that old thing. Thought I had it fixed, sorry. This was reported before, I’d also like to say sorry to that person Will fix.
Only browsers I have installed at the moment on Win10x64:
Microsoft Edge (Which I am steadily taking a liking to)
Internet Explorer
Google Chrome
All 3 loaded, displayed and behaved exactly the same as far as I could tell.
The 1st link only took a few moments to load. Once “loaded” only a couple of constellations displayed but once I dragged the screen the rest popped in. Otherwise everything seemed in order and dragging was smooth and the tooltips popped up immediately on mouse over.
The 2nd(alt) link took more or less the same time to load. Unlike the 1st link all the constellations loaded and were visible without needing to drag first. However, once I dragged the screen the constellations all took on a slight “blurring” effect that stayed that way from then on. I suspect it has something to do with on first loading all the constellations appear “greyed out-ish” then upon dragging they light up/become selectable. Dragging and mouse over behavior were the same as the 1st.
Doesn’t scale with my browser window size! Performance is fine though.
Weird. I can’t reproduce this issue. Can you give more information? What browser and if theres any interesting plugins(probably about privacy and similar)?
Thanks.
This is the part I was most interested in, thanks. Glad it seems fine at this version. Constellations version is just to test what happens when I double the size, basically. It looks like its still OK or better for most people.
More or less the same @ FF42@win 8.1
Difference: 2nd link isnt really compatible with quick drag, need to click twice while dragging.
Both links: when dragging too far left/right there is another (and another, and so on…) background picture without active “stars”, just plain bitmap.
/edit
Ctrl+mouse wheel works fine.
