I am looking to try and extract functionality from GTDH, but to do that I need 1.0.6.1 of the game files. Does anyone have an archive I can download for the 1.0.6.1 AoM game files?

Unfortunately GDTH hasn’t been updated for a while so probably doesn’t work any more.

You can do fancy footwork if the files are on Steam Depot. Requires more knowledge than I have. I do know that as long as the depot has the update files you can type a command in steam console and get the files, I remember reading about how to revert a forced update to Skyrim one time. So… Thought for you.
