Well, CRAP! I missed the warnings and I was set to auto-update. Thanks for all the clarifications on this problem. I’ve been working on it for about 2 hrs today.
amazingly fast action, thanks alot ![]()
praying for an option to get the lua error log back for modding, really hard to track down errors without ![]()
cheers
Hi! The essentials of GI for me are:
nullification warning
legendary drops sfx
increased range for picking up items
nemesis alert
stacking to 1000 on components (I’m a Hoarder, i know U_U)
Type and ammount of incomming damage
debuff icon on enemies
you can remove the cheats, i newer used them.
you used 2 cheats ![]()
I take them as QoL, for me a cheat will be the teleport.
that’s a Rainbow Filter feature, not GI (unless GI has a feature like that too and I’m not aware of it).
Rainbow Filter still works fine as far as I’ve seen.
OK I agree about the stack size being QoL, but increased pick up range is in my opinion a cheat just like teleport. People use it to get better SR timer results which afaik are used to measure build strength these days. Those who use GI will obviously have better results than those who don’t, so in my eyes that’s cheating.
That said, I’m not opposed to it, I used it myself (because I’m lazy, I don’t care about the timer). But I’m not really missing it either ![]()
It’s okay, I already spat on your back)))
If everyone has access to the same “cheat” than nobody is being cheated anymore… I don’t find it fruitful to dismiss potential features on subjective measures of what is a cheat (cheated on who?). I don’t necessarily need a teleport. But if you want to get an MI with good rolls it’s currently quite tedious to do so where I might consider not, and play different game. That’s why I brought it up.
That’s right, I completely agree, but it’s always easier to call everyone cheaters than to take a step forward ))
Thank you for this ))
Thank you for this option. I just tested the rollback on Steam and GI seems to be working just fine.
I agree with most of the comments made here regarding an update with many of GI’s features built in. Increased pickup range(think of it as a “feature”), fog removal, day/night cycles, legendary drops, Nullification warnings, turtles, etc.
And stats, stats, stats! Come on, it’s an RPG, we love stats.
You’re lucky a dev even responds, considering the game was released in 2016
Already said TY! over on steam but again tyvm Zan u guys are awesome!
Give it a rest lqhorror. They also said this.
And again - stick to the topic please. State what you’d like to see in the game from Grim Internals and leave it at that.
I explained that in my post.
I wasn’t trying to be dismissive. I don’t even consider those “QoL” features to be a bad thing. Like I said, I used them myself, including teleport (speaking of which, I appreciate the time saving value of that feature, but Z already said that an official teleport feature won’t happen and I understand why. Maybe increasing item droprates from far-away mobs like Gollus can help here).
I just think that increased pickup range is more like a cheat than a QoL feature (and the lines are blurry, I say that as the author of plenty cheat/QoL mods for Fallout 3) because 1. imo the vanilla pickup range is fine and 2. it is also used in competitive gameplay. Sure, if it’s made an official feature and everybody uses it, it is no longer a cheat.
Again, I’m not opposed to the idea, just giving a different point of view. I don’t know what the game designers’ stance is, but they probably had a reason why the pickup range isn’t bigger. But I also remember the earlier days of GD development where picking up components was a major tedium, and to everybody’s delight they implemented auto-pickup so chances are they will grant your wish as well ![]()
This is a more minor request but a option to turn off the edge fog. The amount more you can see of the world and the different feel is massive and its the main reason I ever used grim internals. The game feels alot more like titan quest and I adore titan quests artstyle and the really only difference in grim dawn and titan quest art style wise is just the fog.
I don’t need to write any bullshit, I paid money for it. Stop groveling before the developers, they are the same people. Or worry about their offspring, or clog dick!
no need to look for a black cat in a dark room, sometimes thanks means only thanks
Smart lad.
