Calla just needs more phys res so you change boots for her. Otherwise it’s not a build to tackle her irregardless of adtch number (Cadence leeches like crap anyway and RoS will have roughly the same leech)
Presumably this refers to skills like Wendigo Totem or Sigil of Consumption, but more generally applicable through devotion usage, for example: Scales providing leech on hit; Bat/Guardians Gaze/etc. when bound to ticking skills (WoP, Ill Omen, etc) or player-scaled pets (Blade Spirit, Guardians); and then devotions like Living Shadows?

Can also be any devotion or item procs with %weapon damage if you have high enough global adtch and good proccers. And of course Health Regeneration. And to lesser extent burst heals like Charriot’s proc or proc from some sets/items like Judicators or “Healing Rain” on some items etc.
I don’t think so, we have already known about all of them pretty much. Converted Tsunami on 5 Wind Devils works really well on Vitality DEE Conjurer tho.

how do “we” feel about Targo these days for non retal/non shield block builds just for the armour increase buff. Is it still too expensive vs worth/uptime or the cost too high over other safeties or dmg devos ![]()
*assuming we’re already dealing with a gold path build that can reasonably unlock it
No feelings whatsoever, never considered it even when armor mattered a lot. Wouldn’t consider it to non-retal nowadays especially. Too much cost sunk for too little gain, where would that armor gain really matter even?

But i take it that just mean hp/da and other layers is easier and more worthwhile still, even if armour is decent mitigation nowadays
I can’t recall a single one of those where extra temporary armor would do much. Maybe to find Calla in bursts or some other mythical scenario
After checking the list, I immediately took a liking to the #22 Lightning DW melee Archon, and after some time away from the game, I’d like to ask a couple questions:

How does the Lightning DW melee Archon perform against Callagadra? Or it shouldn’t be brought there to fight Calla at all?

Going into technicalities, what made the melee builds start to suffer as of the current version 1.2.1.6? That’s really sad…
Too little Armor + Phys res + sustain and no tech like Blast Shield or other circuit breakers for it to be good against Calla. You can kill all superbosses with any build that has damage, this one included, but it might not be pretty or easy like Calla in this case.
I asked two questions, and I feel like adding a third: how wrong/dubious/deceitful is to judge a build by its effectiveness against Callagadra?
I like to build around Calla more than OP, I think it can be a good reference and starting point for build’s resilience but it’s not 1 - 1 as the build can have a ton of Phys res and Armor but not that great of sustain / shields otherwise and struggle more against Magic damage assault in SR which Phys res and Armor do not protecc against
There’s nothing wrong with it, it’s always your choice to pass judgment on builds. Callagadra is very much its own fight, much more so than Ravager or Mogdrogen. The fight has physical dmg that you can’t encounter anywhere else in the game at least up to SR40. It has almost no translation into the build’s effectiveness in other content. You can make a build that will easily kill Cala but then fold against some simple Alkamos+Fabius combo.

Nobody can tell for sure. GD’s balance is a fickle beast. The biggest change was for monsters to stop missing at melee range, you need to build much more for defence now, you experience more debuffs and speed also drops.
Probably doesn’t make that much difference. I remember getting like 500 more Armor and DA on some builds vs Calla in the past and the fight felt almost the same
Feels like you need thousands of Armor or Health regen for some actual improvement. Which is the reason why it’s usually not worth to spec for Calla and sacrificing a ton of your DPS in a full build revamp.
Tried Calla with it. It’s doable. You need a lot of kiting. Every time the tornado is summoned on top of you, you run away. Will take 2 mins or so.
At least in can probably kill Crate in one go / 10s if you avoid / teleport through DR projectile and use Cluster
And also move to its side so that it jumps away into the wall.
