Hi guys… so the 1st time today i noticed… my town storage for cows… goats and chickens were at ZERO. I thought id accidentlt butchered then all… i have noticed again i have zero… but all my animals are at full capacity
Town storage (R key) does not carry livestock. It is the same with the trader, which can buy livestock, but cannot store it. As soon as you leave the trader building, you have to assign the livestock to a suitable building. If your livestock are all dyeing off, some things you might try are building a fence around your pasture area to protect them from wild life and keep them from running away, making sure you have storage buildings next to the barns with minimum storage settings for hay (something like 500 should be enough for a cow barn through the winter). Make sure you have more than just 1 animal, as they probably have a lifespan as well but you can’t breed more with just one in stock.
If, like you say, your animals are at full capacity, then you are doing alright. You just can’t “store” livestock. When over the set population within the building, some will be slaughtered to return to the population limit for that building. With that you will get meat, fur and tallow. I’m not sure where you are seeing a “ZERO” for storage on these items however. If you still have questions about this, try uploading a screen shot. Animals cannot be sold so no reason to show how many you have in your town really.
