I am paying over 2000 gold a month for Guard Training while I have no guards at all. I have a load of Battlement Towers Which I only use when attacked. Seems the tax does not stop when I dismiss the guards. I note there was a thread about this bug last year which is now closed.
Edit right discovered that the tax continues to be paid if the guards are removed in the Professions Menu. i.e Towers are not disabled but are all empty. If the Towers are all shut down individually then the tax stops.
