Currently I’m playing the lazy pokemon summoner. It’s fun, really, but sometimes I want to play something that involves more than skipping through a field and picking flowers. I mean, I like free loot, but I kind of want to do a little more sometimes.
I was looking at a pure soldier setup, I love the idea of it but I’m honestly afraid it just won’t stand up to the pokemon build. Then again, I’m afraid nothing will stand up to the sheer ease of loots and I’ll inevitably go back to it just because nothing seems like it will get me more loot easier. How would the soldier stand up to it? The class has so many powers I want I just can’t seem to see where a second class would even be needed.
Since I haven’t been to Ultimate, I’m not sure what to really aim for though. Will pokemon rule them all?
I haven’t pushed through to ultimate yet, just getting a few of my favourite setups through to elite and then I’ll push them through to ulti together, but:
Dreegs Evil Eye was pretty easy to get through the veteran, and the beginning of elite isn’t causing any issues. I can’t remember what I paired the occultist with though…
Sigil of consumption shield build I was having fun with, and with the changes to second right and solael’s blade I think I’ll be able to get enough DPS to go all the way. This was a soldier occultist.
Just currently having fun with an aether ray build mirror, stand and deliver till everything is dead FUN!! just picked up devastation, so all the trash is dead before it gets to me
Anyways, they are just some ideas I’ve been playing with, I’m sure you’ll find something that works and is fun
Normal - Elite everything seems to work, which is great, experimenting is tons of fun. My problem is trying to find any build that compares to, or even beats, the pokemon build. I enjoy it, don’t get me wrong, but a break would be nice. I have a stash full of blues that are worthless for pets.
I think you’ll enjoy it but I don’t think you’ll find it as easy. It’s extremely satisfying to crunch something with a two-handed hammer and watch it splatter. I think you really need to look at what you want from the build.
I think it’s a situation of pick one. Want to do more? That will come at the expensive of easier loot. Want easier loot? Stick with the pokemon build.
