Two Bugs about Racial Damage

1. Racial Damage on weapon (including weapon components and augments) will be calculated twice/have double effect for DoT. (Maybe only for Projectile Burst, Projectile Fan and Projectile Ring skills.)

Testing process:

Here’s a Chthonic Dummy. My weapon has 10% chthonic damage from Imbued Silver.

I used default attack hitting dummy, flat damage = 566*(1+10%) = 623, correct.

I used PB hitting dummy, bleeding damage = 764*(1+10%) = 840, incorrect.
917/764=120%.

After more testing, I drew the conclusion: for PB, Racial Damage on main-hand weapon would be calculated twice, while Racial Damage on off-hand weapon would not be counted in.
I tested several weapons and affixes. Crystallum, Basilisk Claw, Runecaster’s, Of Insanity, etc. They all had this bug.

Edit. I might make a mistake, it seemed to be an issue of Projectile Burst, Projectile Fan and Projectile Ring templates. DoT from Savagery, PS, ABB and SS didn’t gain double/twice racial benefit. DoT from Siegebreaker, Shar’Zul and Scorpion (devotion proc) did.

2. Racial Damage on Relics (including their base stats as well as Completion Bonus) is invalid/ineffective.

The testing process was similar. Both parts in the following picture were invalid/ineffective. Damage remained unchanged whether I equiped relic or not. And invalid/ineffective for both flat damage and DoT.
I also tested several relics. Oblivion, Scourge and Blademaster. They all had this bug.

If racial damage on relics has been bugged all this time, then all the nerfs and outright removal of it for some relics (like Nemesis losing the human damage) is kind of funny.

I think Agrivix Malice has had it worst. The entire point of the aetherial damage in it back in vanilla was because how scarce aether RR was, so aetherial damage was added to a bunch of items. But turns out the relic aether arcanists would use to offset how resistant aetherial enemies are to aether actually didn’t helped doing that.

I guess that was the Agrivix’s malice after all
