Two Save Locations

This bug has been plaguing me for some time, so I thought I should report it. My games are saving in two different locations:

C:\Users\andre\OneDrive\Documents\My Games\Farthest Frontier\Save
or
C:\My Games\Farthest Frontier\Save

I will play a game for many hours over several days when suddenly the game will look in the other location for saves and pull up a different town. Again, I will play whatever town is in that second folder, when the game will switch back to the first folder. I have been unable to figure out what triggers the change, why the game looks in the other folder.

This was quirky and now it is annoying, especially when I build a new town after the latest patch and want to stick with it for a while.

I have a standard setup with no mods since I am just a gamer, not a programmer. Any ideas or suggestions?

You will need to exclude Frontier from OneDrive so it stops moving your files.

Not a bug, OneDrive has hi-jacked your Documents folder. The default location for save is

My Documents - My Games - Farthest Frontier - Save

Remove the Documents folder from OneDrive and then disable/uninstall OneDrive.

I am sorry. I find these answers confusing. Firstly, I am not disabling OneDrive as it is my primary file backup, and I do much more with my PC than play games. Secondly, I have other games that use the My Games folder under OneDrive\Documents with no ill effect.

Nonetheless, I was able to exclude all of “OneDrive\Documents\My Games” from the OneDrive backup. We’ll see if that works…
