UI Feedback : MAP

Alright maybe I’m the only one having this issue, but I have to ask… why is the map made in the way it is? The world map specifically… If I wanted to portal from Fort Ikon to Devil’s crossing… it would take me 2-3 full drags of the map to get there… which is insane. I think the devs should seriously take a look at that aspect of the UI and see if there’s a better way.

Possible Solutions I have come up with:

  1. UI setting for fullscreen world map (or half screen… like opens up from the left/right side of the screen… the full height… not the tiny box that it is.

  2. List of possible portals in box beside the map (text list) so that if you are constantly going between… I dont know… warden’s cellar and Devil’s crossing… you dont need to scroll every. single. time.

  3. Have the map follow the cursor… auto scrolling as you move it along…

I love you guys, I do. I’ve been following and playing for years… but someone needs to look into this. Please!

Actually, after B31 map dragging has become a lot slower, previously it was very responsive and quick, but now it seems it gained a limit on how fast you can drag it.
This is very bad and inconvenient.

They should make so that you can zoom in/out on the world map (the one that shows every location) like you can on the Devotion window… would definitely be much better.

I agree. What they should do is implement zoom out from cursor / zoom in to cursor and let you zoom the world map all the way out so you can see the entire thing, while leaving the rift icons the same size.

I’d like to add that I’d kill for a way to zoom in on my inventory/bank. It’s insane how small everything is. Make the window full screen and make the items larger please. I shouldn’t have to squint at the monitor to see the smaller items.

Also, the arrows at the edges of the world map are really bad design. They’re big enough that they look like scrolling controls, and serve no useful purpose. They’re just a misleading distraction.

My vote to World Map in functional style of Devotion screen.

There’s an option that increases UI size that’ll make bank and items bigger. The downside it is it makes ALL windows and UI components bigger. But if you’re having trouble seeing items it may be a good thing.

My wife uses it.
