Cadence is bad in general (low numbers for the massive skill investment), and actually worse than Shard of Beronath or just a normal attack on a Nightblade because it screws with WPS.
I agree!! GENERALLY Cadence is bad… I was mostly replying as a joke to a post stating they don’t know why OP picked soldier over shaman for a bleed build and I took it a step further saying they should take shaman over nightblade for a bleed build…again as joke because this thread is about making a bleeding BM and how to make it work not which mastery is better…
I agree though that I probably wouldn’t use it with a night blade because of the WPS… But I have haven’t played a night blade so don’t really have much experience there…
With my warder (only lv 60) I have 1 in cadence, 8 in fighting form and 8 in deadly momentum… I do more DPS with that set up, then 12 in Savagery (+1 each mod +3 transmuter)… Mostly because I can’t seem to keep the charges up to utilize the bonus form savagery. I can get the bonus from deadly momentum in 3 swings. I also am a bleed and internal trauma build and DM boosts both…and the bleed from fighting form is awesome!!! I routinely cycle through blade arc/laceration, GV, DS, win totem, decapitation on bosses when there is something that actually stays alive long enough to build charges…but that cycling removes too many charges and then the boss is dead…that will most likely change in ultimate (just got through AU on elite)…and I’ll have to give savagery another shot (will have more points to up mods then too).
Anyways, I know Cadence sucks for the most part…but it can be useful in select situations such as a bleed/IT warder…all I’m saying…at least during certain parts of the game…
I thought I was doing something wrong. I’ve only been playing for a month or so now but the only time I’ve wanted to gouge my eyes out was while leveling a cadence soldier. Of the 15 or so other characters/builds i’ve raised to 50ish, the cadence soldier only made it to 21 before I couldn’t take it anymore and deleted it.
Leveling with cadence is pure aids. If you start out with soldier as your main always always go blade arc
I’m pretty much only using it for the deadly momentum boost and fighting form’s bleed… Grasping vines with swoop and devouring swarm with rend take care of everything but bosses and undead… blade arc/laceration help fill in after that as it provides nice physical/internal trauma for the high resist to bleed undead… My warder is taring it up much easier then my AAR sorcerer at this point…course I was also able to hand down a few legendaries…
