Ultos PS: warder or vindicator?

i’m starting to level a primal strike character on which i intend to use the Ultos set, but i’m having a difficult time choosing between soldier and inquisitor for my second mastery (as always)

i like that soldier offers a lot of defensive bonuses and a good deal of stun reduction, but i’m aware that aura of censure is one of the most powerful abilities in the game, and inquisitor’s seal also offers a good deal of defense

can anyone tell me the advantages one class has over the other? especially in terms of survivability (damage output is important, of couse, but i’m not gonna be pushing high-tier content, so im mostly interested in a character that can comfortably survive while still dealing good damage)

warder has skills that increase health armor oa da and armor absorbtion ele res, stun reduction. Basically all defensive things which are important when you have this attack build that stands in the face of everything. Vindicator however has seal + aura of censure which is reduced damage as well as damage absorbtion which makes up for the soldier tree a lot. Personally i like vindicator a bit better for its ele RR that you don’t have in the soldier tree. don’t forget deadly aim its a killer skill. Especially for primal strike. Lets say that the inquisitor side of things rhymes much better with elemental than soldier which only has some things for defense which are important but in my opinion a bit boring…its playstyle however. The hard heal from word of renewal can be a real way to live through impossible things too.

I actually think the warder might offer more firepower than the vindicator.

You get more AS, and get to double down on %lightning damage values - courtesy of field command’s 2nd node, and SCP.

War cry is also competitive with DR.

conjurers and elementalist would like to have a word

I’d rather choose warder, as we don’t need to take Censure and sacrifice Stormcaller with its damage and crits.
Also, warder provides better as and probably more balanced stats so I choose him :damage_lightning:

Ultos is versatile set, other than these two should work also as Conjurer, Elementalist and Druid. Vindicator is the best class though, it’s versatile build and very solid defensively. Seal, damage reduction from Censure, heal and much more.

Warder don’t have second source of RR but Soldier is fitting as secondary class well.
