Understanding damage

Hello.

I was using the Gutwrench with my Blade Arc soldier. When comparing it with the Tremor I just crafted, this last one brings my DPS down for -126, but when trying those two weapons in the dummies the Tremor actually does more damage per hit, because the highest physical damage.
My question is, is the DPS considering the bleeding bonus the Gutwrench has over the Tremor, therefore showing a higher value?
Also, wich one would you use? Tremor, wich gives me almost double damage than the Gutwrench with the hit, but lower bleeding damage on the long run, or the Gutwrench, wich lower hit damage and more bleeding damage?

Cant take the component off the Gutw. without braking it. So I cant check.

God I love the skin of the Gutwrench, with all that blood

Thanks all

BA is a dot skill really so only the higher dot damage output should concern you not the main hit.

The only way tremor could do more dmage would be if that 10% internal trauma proced with BA and a crit at the same time (tremor has 10% extra crit dmg). Chances for both of those are really low at your level.

I’d use gutwrench for stable damage with big %bleed damage bursts and also hund for a good troll mace in the secret shop. Depends on your actual build though. I’m not sure what you are building.

Simply hold CTRL when viewing to view the stats without the component

Thanks both of you. You really helped me.

Now as I understand, Blade Arc attack speed wont be affected by the type of weapon, so If I have a one handed mace (Attack speed 1.80), will still attack as the same speed as the two handed mace (Attack speed 1.54). DPS recognize this and says that my 1h mace with lower stats will deal less damage.
BUT if the weapon has a property of +&% Attack Speed, BA will indeed be used more quickly. So in this case. A pretty random 2h Sword with +23% Attack Speed will technically do more DPS than the Epic Tremor? I mean that is just funny. So, the 2h sword will deal LESS damage per hit, but in this case it uses BA faster so it will in fact deal more DPS by just hiting more times.
Is that correct? What do you think of that?
How do I benefit from using a 1h axe + shield with BA if my attack speed wont be increased anyways (Unless my axe has +&% Attack Speed as stated)

Thanks again to those who help me.
