Are you using mods? I have never seen wild items line up perfectly before like in that pic. If so, it may be a bug with the mod itself
It could be because the local storage of the building is full and so they have no space to deposit new goods. If that’s the case, I’d look at your Root Cellars and make sure you have space for new food so the Gatherer can be emptied.
If that’s not the case I’d recommend building another gatherer’s hut (leave this one untouched) and give it the same work area. Does an empty gatherer’s hut collect these items or are they still untouched?
yes it is a mod, but that it affects the action of the collector?
Currently the game does not support mods, so no way to know if the game is at fault or the mod itself. It is possible the game may not recognize some of the items placed down by the mod and as such the forager does not know to collect them, Just saying, there is no way to know where the fault lies when mods are involved.

Also, bug reports from modded games are currently unusable by the developers.
Please only report bugs if you’re not using any mods with the game. Check without any mods to be sure it’s the vanilla game that has the problem.
