Unpopular (?) opinion about terraforming

I just hope for any change. I’m on another game I started now. Took me 50 years to terraform the area where I wanted my city. You shouldn’t need to pause playing the game to create a low population infinite sustain loop just to sit there bored to death for 10-100 years waiting for the layout of your base to finish so you can actually start playing the game.

Bigger and more ambitious building projects are pretty much dead in the water for me. Dunno about you guys but sitting there for 100 years doing nothing because of terraforming is Zzzzz :stuck_out_tongue:

Agree! I feel like more landscape diversity in a map, too. It would be a little bit boring building village on a pure plain area. However, players do have difficulties in using the terrain tool. I think at least two functions should be added later. 1. let players set the altitude benchmark. 2. let players switch between smooth mode and steep mode.
BTW, rocks should be either substitutable (say, bricks and clay being a substitute for rock when building walls) or more available, most notably from the hills.
