Urgently need tips for beginners! I can’t figure out how to allocate workers to a specific work object? How to see those who do not work?
Welcome to the forum. 
You don’t assign workers to specific tasks. And everyone should be working at something. If they’re not doing a specific job then they’re general labourers who do all the manual stuff in your town like chopping trees, digging up stone, etc.
Here’s a weird idea – how about a manual?
I’m 75 years old. I began playing computer games in the 1980s, and back then there were manuals that had all the instructions of how to do what. I would love to see one of those, because I have no clue what I’m doing! Most of my colonists died! LOL!
Right now, I am playing for stress relief; illness in the family limits my time, and I really do not have the time to go cruising through the Forum for instructions on what I need to do to get a good solid start in the game.
Seriously, a manual would be a great thing. I don’t how how to get started, but I have a very strong feeling that, once I figure out what to do and where and when, I’m going to love this game!
