V0.9.5 Unexplanable decreasing of free workers

Having initial problems with too few free workers is for sure intended and also decreasing due to sending them into other professions, but it should regulate itself after a couple of years if

  • non die
  • no new “professionals” are declared
  • non run away
  • the populations grows

right? But I experience some really strange decrease of free workers. Sometimes in seconds of time I loose 10 free workers and they are just gone.
As I can’t see anywhere in a statistic overview, how old my citizens are, I can’t even tell, how many should be grown up and in fact available and how many of my population are still children.

I think this kind of information is vital and for sure something a mayor knows of, maybe it’s worth a thought.

What it might be connected with, but I would not understand why, is, that every year at winter break, I take my farmers, foragers and fishers out of work for 2-3 month, to help wood chopping or else and put them back to work again start of next year.
Maybe it helps trouble shooting.

Top bar people icon, hover your cursor over it and it should display the numbers of elderly and children as well as the number of working adults but you have to click on it to get a more detailed overview.

May be resource gaps.

Sometimes, I have 20 plus people collecting wood, 20 plus people making firewood and planks.

So depending on different things I can have either 60 free if all resources are stocked, or 0 if they get below the threshold I have set.

Thanks for the input about the overview, I did not figure it out until you told me.
Still, the situations stays.
Each time my population grows by settlers, I might win 12 Settlers, I might need 3 more free workers and 1 or 2 more builder, but my free workers rise by 4-5, where are the other 7 settlers?
