At the point where the last month begins, there is often a sudden shift in the minimap lighting. The point at which it occurs is marked with red line:
Frequently it jumps to much brighter (example in attached video clip).

Very rarely it goes significantly darker. The following two images show the difference between normal lighting (1st image) to very dark (2nd image).
Also very rarely it goes extremely bright, almost bleached out. I don’t have a screenshot of the very bleached version but will add to this thread if it happens again.
I haven’t pinpointed when it returns to normal lighting after the shift has occurred.
To reproduce:
- Observe the minimap whilst the timeline is passing into the beginning of the last month of the year.
Rough approximation of frequency:
No change: 50%
Jump to brighter lighting: 40%
Jump to very bright almost bleached: 5%
Jump to very dark: 5%
