Ultimately if 1.0.0.8 changes affect some builds too extremely, I see it as an opportunity to bring up the masteries in question so that players of all skill levels benefit.

Historically, a complaint with Blademasters is that they are late-bloomers in that they need end-game gear to shine. If it turns out they no longer shine even with end-game gear, their base skill values can be tuned up such that players levelling them will feel stronger And they have a solid performance at max level with the best gear.

Likewise, the high end Crucible can be toned down to open it up to more builds.

That’s not how it works. When most builds do just ok and a handful are deemed the “meta”, that is the time for action. Considering how most players shunned casters for a long time, seeing top-end caster builds popping up is excellent.
