I’m a little confused by your screenshot. If you are running FF in “Normal Mode”, I’m confused why there is a MelonLoader title bar on the window. And the version it’s calling out is 0.7.1. We ship with version 0.7.0 and it should only be activated if running the Mono version.
Is it possible you have MelonLoader installed in your FF games directory? If you did, it would activate when the non-Mono (Normal Mode) game is started. Since this is a IL2CPP build of FF in the non-Mono version, I could see how that might crash. Something definitely seems off here.
Can you check the directory where FF is installed? Do this to open Windows Explorer pointing to your FF install:
For this v1.0.5b Debug build, the file structure should look like this. Note the absence of any MelonLoader files:
TLDR; MelonLoader shouldn’t be installed nor running when you run the Normal Mode of the game.
Thankyou so much @Westfaliah, very muc h appreciated, these are Files/Folders I have that are additional to what is shown in the Screenshot.
So now the only additional Folders I have would be -Folders =
Mods (empty)
UserData ( that contains Loader and MelonPreferences, if MelonLoader shouldn’t be there, I guess that shouldn’t either? )
UserLibs (Empty)
and for -Files =
imgui ( Configuration Settings, makes sense )
Version.dll ( Application extension Containing MelonLoader.bootstrap Another file I guess now shouldn’t be there?)
I hope this is helpful to the Team? Keep up the Fantastic Work
@mrCat Were you also told by the Melonloader page to install Melon into the same FF Directories? If so, this certainly looks to be the issue! Wonder how many others got caught out this way. See you in game
Yep that’s right. All those things can/should be removed to make it look like my screenshot above. All the Melon Loader files should already be installed in the Mono version of FF in the Farthest Frontier (Mono) directory. You don’t need to manually install Melon Loader any more as we ship that in that directory already.
So if you clear all that stuff from the main FF directory, I think you’ll be fine.
Thankyou @Westfaliah I really appreciate the feedback. Knowing the post-installed MelonLoader was the event
ual issue made things much easier to understand
