[V1.0] Lazy face tank PRM+Procs battlemage

Amazing build - having finally super fun in Ultimate  Thank you!

I thought at first it was the lower right point in obelisk that’s not selected  Yeah, it really sucks, but the build is very much fun nonetheless

Can you please show your gear? I saw the imgur pic but it doesn’t actually say what the gear is or show the stats. Thanks.

Indeed, I give up Obelisk left node. Look carefully at the line between node, you will find out the node isn’t selected. Don’t have enough devotion points tho:o

The point is, there is no BiS gear for this build, it’s mainly about devotion. In the video I use 4 pieces of Iskandra (to boost survivability), Wrath of Ascendant (weapon), Aldanar’s Vanity (Focus), Wraithborne Legwrapes (Leg), Aethereach (hands), Wraithwalkers (boos), Phantom-thread Girdle (Belt), Albrecht’s Duality x2(rings), Mark of Anathema (medal), Agrivix (relic). In fact, this is not the optimized gear: you can use rings with -% resistant, belt with more defensive stats, etc… You can do this build with any gears, even with green ones from factions (I tried to run ult BoC with faction gears with about 12 minutes. Definitely need kitting if you don’t use a shield). However, if possible, get an Aldanar’s Vanity -> 4 pieces of Iskandra ASAP, those will make your journey much more convenient.

so I really like this build and was thinking of doing it. I have almost a lot of my skills and stats saved however I did put about 10 points into PHYSIQUE did i ruin the character or can i switch the things around to balance out for this… thanks in advance

wait why are you even getting cunning if your mage not doing physical dmg!?!?

should it be like 0 cunning few points in pysique dump rest in spirit for dmg?

curious as to why you chose to put no points in physique and so many in cunning

  1. It’s ok with putting 10 points in physical, it won’t affect much.
  2. I put point for cunning purely for more OA (around 2500) since my devotion points are all survival-focused. You can adjust attributes freely as you use different gears/rolls, as long as you have enough OA for crit chance.

What are your thoughts on using the Clairvoyant set for a PRM build? Also what about Tome of Names instead of Aldanars?

Is there a sweet spot for crit chance

Not really, but I think 2500ish OA for BoC is fine.

In fact for PRM build, mana won’t be a problem. You can use Clairvoyant but for PRM build, the only set bonus that helps is 10% chance CD reduction. Plus you will sacrifice too much survivability.

Tome of Names instead of Aldanars is totally fine, depending on your play style.

For an HC version of this build, would the attribute ratio change at all?

I assume we would go from 1:2 cunning:spirit to 1:2 phys:spirit instead?

Nice build man! Can you tell me what skills you put to wich devotion possibly?
And you can’t facetank avatar but you can kite him ? Just curious…good stuff though, thanks!

You can put some of spirit into phys if you like, but you need decent OA.

For this build, I can not face tank elite avatar because taking multiple lightning ball damage is just too much for hp regen since casters don’t have life steal. However, due to high hp regen, kitting elite avatar or face tanking veteran avatar won’t be any problem at all.

As for someone who just started playing and only using self found gear, what stats should I be prioritizing for in gears?

oh and around what level should I start leveling soldier?

For devotions, where should I start prioritizing for the devotion skills?

I’m also pretty new, so this is just an opinion.

I’m using this guide, and up to level 40, the stats that improve my char the most are: +cast speed, +% aether damage and +spirit.

If you find any +1 to all skills, it’s awesome

And you should start soldier from elite difficulty, you can check #17 for more details

Interesting build. Would it be viable for hardcore? It’s scary to see your HP bar going up and down too quickly :stuck_out_tongue:

It is fully viable for hardcore. You can just use some more defensive set-up as other HC build does - 11000+ hp will be fine even for BoC run.
