It’s the first time that I try a full caster build and I’ve got some questions. I use to play any kind of shaman build, but this time, I take the challenge to make a demo build…
I’ve seen the thermite mines and it looks fun, even if it is not really great. The new thermite mines offer a nice res reduction.
The first version is more straight forward, fire+chaos on equipment, in the devotions and the mine shred those resistances. + the blackwater cocktail give lot of nice side effects.
The second version use the Ulzuin’s chosen passive a lot, it seems more fun to play. The curse red the resistance elem and phys so it is fine with the stun-jacks and the grenade, the mine reduce the elec resistance, but I don’t know if it is enough… Does the stun-jacks modded will do enough damage to be useful, it seems I don’t have enough defensive skills.
Grimcalc refuses to load for me, so I can’t see it, but I’m playing a hybrid melee pyro right now. In my eyes, the main purpose for Thermite is area control and resistance reduction. You can stack more -%fire redux from vulnerability and Eldritch Fire (Solael constellation). You’ve also got nice CC options and could go with pets if you wanted. Tons of possibilities.
Haven’t tried Ulzuin’s Chosen, but it doesn’t make sense as a skill to me. It only works with certain abilities and the bonuses aren’t that strong. The ONLY thing that seems remotely good about it is the cooldown reduction proc and only canister bomb has a major cooldown. I could totally be missing the point, though, since I haven’t used it.
